good display last night and on another day could have been 3 points. we looked composed on the ball a far cry from our usual passing away in europe.

thought izzy had a good game and broony is having a fantastic season hes all over the pitch and his passing has improved big time.

if only we had won at CP we would be on 5 points and most likely qualified for the EL.

Have to say I've been to many countries and stadiums but the Gladbach fans were up there with some of the nicest and friendliest fans I've encountered, they were top class in every way, a real credit.

No idea how many traveled for this but I encountered far more without tickets than with, hopefully most got sorted in the end.

Overall I'm really proud of that performance, particularly after going a goal down, as many have said its a sign of how far we've come so quickly

So it comes down to taking 3 points off 2 of the most expensive football teams ever assembled.

A certain learned judge would have us believe that finances give no sporting advantage! Well i didn't
believe him then and i don't believe it now.

now if you had an extra man,, well that would definitely help.. so i guess it is down to the fans to be that 12th man
and try to help our 11 bhoys on the pitch. Fat lady hasn't started singing yet

I know, but putting on a second striker made sense at the time, IMO. I'd have put Henderson instead of Rogić, some ten minutes before. But when BMG got a man sent off, it was time to go throw the kitchen sink at them.

That was a performance last night to be proud of. We went to Gladbach and played our own game, didn't let ourselves be intimidated or anxious and probably in the end should have won. Now 6 months ago we were getting beaten 3-1 by Molde- the improvement of the team is incredible. There are still maybe 1-2 weak spots in the team that need improved but we are on the right track.
We were without Tierney, Simunovic and Toure last night, Bitton is out of form and Armstrong isn't up to the required standard. We got a draw away in the champions league. I for one am absolutely delighted with that.
The only disappointment is we blew it at Parkhead because if we had played like we did last night we wouldn't have lost that game. But we will learn so much from this campaign.

IIRC drawing away in the CL is something we only managed once even in the days of MON, Larsson, Sutton, etc, and we just got a draw away to a Bundesliga side and some folk are moaning. :56:

BMG fans I know have had nothing but praise for the way our fans behaved and they couldn't believe we took over such a massive away support and many thousands of those without tickets.

Large numbers ended up in the home ends and no trouble at all. Düsseldorf pubs done a roaring trade as did all the pubs where Celtic fans made their bases.

Few sore heads this morning and hopefully all get home safely in time for Saturday.

Cifti should have come on. Don't rate him on his performances for us so far, but with Griff sick and them down to 10 he should have been given a chance.

Why have him on the bench if he's got no chance of playing? We might as well have named Griff as a sub.

Loved us in the hoops last night. I know people will disagree but I think it helps.

Bar the great performance, how do we go about organising some nice green mood lighting at Parkhead like theirs? :84:

Would have like a win, but overall, I feel good about last night. Great fans they have, game played in the right spirit (except that Red card foul). Just no ill will at all.

If anyone had said to me after borrussia game at Celik park, that our next 4 games,3 away and 1 at a neutral venue, we would have won 3 and drawn 1, with 3 clean sheets I'd have been a very happy bhoy

There was a German newspaper with a story about police being called out, supposedly some Celtic fans were causing bother, always one or two arseholes who ruin it for the rest.

Agreed. I always want to see us in the hoops home or away. It just feels right. Excelent performance overall last night too. All the back 4 and Gordon in goal were good. Credit to Izzy who has done very well coming in so cold over the last week for Tierney and having to play 3 away games in a week. Good performances all over the park really including those who came off the bench.

What a performance last night. A real sign of the progress being made under Brendan. We went to one of the best teams in Germany and went toe to toe and could maybe consider ourselves a little u lucky not to have won the match. 2 draws and 2 losses in a ridiculously difficult group is something to be quite proud of and should be a source of optimism for next season. 4 points from our next 2 and who knows though.
