His positioning at times was terrible. There was a moment in the first half where I said * is he doing? He was at LW at one point and was never making it back to his position in time for the County counter attack.

As people have said second half much better and a lovely back heel for Paddy which created the fourth goal.

Was it not McGregor that backheeled it?

Thought the wee man defended quite well when he came on. He has a very good leap, won a couple of headers that he really shouldn't have.

He done ok today. It's going to be a hard slog for him to get into any kind of form though with Lustig playing so well.

Another one who just has to bide his time.

Aye, Lustig has been very good.

December is going to be a big month for a lot of squad players with the number of matches we have.

It was a clever change imo he matched Hayes pace for pace something Lustig couldn't manage

Yeah I agree he is nowhere near a first team starter yet but he showed a couple of optimistic signs today. One when he had to track back and try to prevent a cross and although he didn't prevent it he put the guy off so it just went out of play. Mind you I think it was the fact he was out of position he had to track back so fast.

Then at the end of the game during the 6 minute stramash I thought he made an important clearance.

In another game I seen him he looked like he was linking up well with Forrest and if that clicked it could be great for counter attacks.

Lustig is still a different level even on that front though, he doesn't have to link up with players on his own wing, he can make cross field balls to the feet of Rogic to create chances.

Still don't know if he'll ever become a Celtic player, I'd really love to see him improve and impress with his speed but as someone already mentioned at the moment his defensive positioning looks like it could be a weak point.

Looks like he's going to get game time though so we'll find out his abilities by the end of the season.

It would be very surprising if every signing Brendan made turned out to be as good as Dembele, Sinclair and Toure, especially with the budget he's been using so far.

Don't we have a very promising player in the Development Squad who plays right back? I can't mind his name but I'm sure he looked good pre season and against Sociedad. Wardrop or McIlduff? Might even have been Hendry though I think he's usually a midfielder. One for Priest or Crow I think.

I don't think he'll ever be anything more than a squad player for us.

Loved his aggression when he came on. Fights for everything and chases everything. Hayes was starting to get some joy and Lustig was struggling and Rodgers spotted it straight away.

It'll take him a while to adapt tactically to what Rodgers wants but I think he could be brilliant for us. I think Lustig is better positionally but I think Gamboa is better at linking up play going forward finding his way out of trouble.

By the way, for a wee guy he canny half jump. Nearly leaped that big albino they brought on at one point.

Thought he played well tonight. Like most, he was sloppy a couple of times on the ball and he punted it up the pitch a couple of times needlessly. But he was solid enough defensively.

Still very early days for him and he hasn't played much football in the last year or so. Think he'll be fine.

Another enigma. Made the odd good marauding run and had tenacity tonight but he still has a long way to go to show me he can be our permanent even cover RB or RWB.

As i implied above, hope so.

Lost the ball loads first half, but was very encouraging..

Bombed forward, was confident enough to take a couple of digs, and defended quite well on the main..

Think he's quite pacey and positive on the ball, but not sure if he'll ever be a true challenge to Lustig. Thought he was good without being spectacular tonight, but still not sure if he's ever going to end up a solidified starter for us.

As @CalgaryBhoy has said he's very positive on the ball - unsure whether he is TOO positive because like @wanyama1967 I do wonder sometimes why he runs off on random tangents in inexplicable directions and positions himself in weird places.

As I said he's an enigma for me. He seems to be a similar thing for @Swervedancer also. He's either going to be a total flop or a plucky full back who is a bit of a bargain. We'll just have to be patient.

He's just in the door a couple of months and has had to bide his time. With the busy schedule in December, I'm sure we'll see a fair bit of him.

Right now I feel confident that Rodgers can get the best out of our players, particularly those with a good attitude which Gamboa looks to have.
