As others have said, this team is a work in progress; this thread will be much more interesting a year from now. :50:

Meanwhile, I have to say I think Lenny's team would win fairly comfortably at the moment.

A more interesting question for the moment is how our current team would do against the team from Lenny's final year. Without Wanyama and with Efe starting to * up, you'd have to fancy us to score. On the other hand, I think the way we played Commons that year would cause our current midfield and defence real problems. The thought of him making late runs into the box off Bitton is frightening.

Not yet, but put Wanyama in our midfield just now then I would say yes.

Im not sure lenny team could deal with our current high intensity press.

Our current levels of fitness are superior too.

tactically Brendan is also streets ahead of Lennon and would make better changes during the game than Lenny.

stikcing to orginal sugestion of BR team wining

If we get Mccarthy in I reckon we would beat them.

Not sure about that either, Lenny's team got pipped at the Nou Camp by the last kick of the ball due to his tactical setup. Brendan's got us skelped 7-1.

Still very much a work in progress here.

Put Forster and Wanyama in the current team and we'd win the Champions League.

Since this is only Rodgers' first season in charge of Celtic, I think it's only fair to compare the teams of both his and Lennon's first season.

In that case, Rodgers by a distance.

Think you're taking the * a bit there mate.

We'd probably definitely win that Soccer Aid one though, ye know.....the one that Robbie Williams and his bentshot mucker play in.

Also good though our press is becoming, that Barça team we beat were better at it than we will ever be. Their pressing was unreal.
