Thomson is a * joke of a ref. Some shocking decisions today and not just against us. That Hun got slide tackled in the box and got a yellow card for it!

 

I thought Celtic were poor in the first half. Passing was off and it just felt like we were playing at a much lower level than usual. But even then rangers didnt manage a single shot.

2nd half was a lot better and on another day it could have been 5. It was beginning to feel like one of those days and it was good to see a level of composure and grit in the team to just keep going.

I think today Celtic maybe scored 6/10 by their own standards and it still could have been a pumping on another day. Rangers actually did ok at nullying celtic for a lot of the game but no better than what celtic come up against when they play teams like ICT or Motherwell. There remains a really wide gap between the teams that it going to take a long time to close from rangers perspective (if at all)

 

We were denied a stonewall penalty and had a perfectly good goal chalked off by Thompson, so the scoreline flattered them a lot, no doubt they will be hailing this defeat as some kind of victory

I don't think Biton played well at all, he was again anonymous in midfield, surely Brendan will drop him for Stuart Armstrong now ? Forrest was poor too, though he improved in the second half and threaded some good balls through the middle, still there is a case to be made for Roberts again methinks.

 

An absolute canter. They played for penalties right from the start. Brown was an inspiration. No idea why our first goal was chopped off. Should it have been ?

 

No Hill was looking for the foul and Thompson bought it

 

Chance of him joining in Jan?

 

I wouldn't be against all three being rested. Rogic, Biton and Forrest. It would give Brendan the chance of some squad rotation and some of these other players a chance to see if they can cement a place in the team.

 

Really hope so. He'd be ideal.

 

Their centre back was all over Dembele all game and no fouls given. Thomson gave them everything.

I hope there is a formal complaint about Thompson mis handling of the game .
Worst performance from a referee for a very long time .

 

Terrible decision by Thompson. Looked like he meant it too.
