why dont we just buy out a lower division english team and progress through the leagues using our non playing first team players and reserve players

Because you can't have two professional teams with the same name and if would be a pish atmosphere if some fans went to watch one team and vice versa. Anyway pish thread.

why not just buy out a championship club, one of the pishy ones like burnley or someone.

desmond is so desperate for us to play in england so he could afford it.

we then just loan the entire celtic team to Burnley or whoever. win the championship and play in the premiership.

this may sound strange but just look at hearts. we have a lithuanian team, owned by a lithuanian playing in scotland.

we would then simply change our name from burnley to celtic.

again this has been done before, wibledon became MK dons

finally we change our home ground from burnley to parkhead.

there is already teams in the english league who play outside of england. i.e cardiff and swansea

because celtic then would be playing in an english league, run by the english and many english people would go to scotland
who the * wants that many english people in scotland:icon_mrgreen:

    Ok then work this out.

Celtic do not have a fortune to spend in the transfer windows, so how would we raise the money to buy a whole new club AND buy players for BOTH clubs?

If we did buy Burnley,we would have to play our home games at burnley's home ground as we would be part of the English League or Premiership. What happens to Celtic Park?

the idea is that we have celtic, and we own the other team.
Therefore burnly will stay burnly but with celtic the majoirty shareholder

no we wouldnt. teams move ground all the time. arsenal moved stadium, liverpool are doing it so we are not tied to burnley's stadium. and as i have already said there are already teams playing in england who are not english and who's stadium is not in england

    I'd rather not!

It would still cost to by a lower league team and if you give our reserve players to that team then there is no guarantee they would get promoted as the championship especially is a difficult league.

And then the original Celtic would need to sign players to cover for injuries , costing more in wages.

    Stupid idea

The teams you have quoted are moving to new stadiums in the same cities and countries they currently play in.I dont think they are good examples. The football authorities would never sanction Celtic buying an English club, loan them our first team players, move them to Scotland and let us play in the Premiership. If there arent rules at present, they would very quickly draw up regulations which would prevent this becoming reality.
