How could you possibly drop Dembele against them after he scored a hat-trick last time out?

They literally could not handle him. So many more facets to his game than Griffiths has...and that's not a dig at Leigh, he's an excellent striker. It's just Dembele can do it all: good in the air, scored with both feet, can hold the ball up, can run with the ball. Give him service on Sunday and he'll rip them apart on Sunday.

I'd argue Griffiths has shown this season and last that he does have all those aspects in his game, his link up play this season has improved ten-fold. The starting striker role is still Dembele's to lose though.

Same team as last night...then unleash griffs earlier in the second half.....he will be itching to get a hold of them.

No slip ups against this newco..if we really are that good against all scottish opposition then go out and show it.

Can he emulate O'Neill? Lets see

I agree it has improved but his first touch & hold-up play is still poor at times. Both could undoubtedly do a job on Sunday, I just think it would be ludicrous to drop Dembele after he ragdolled them last time.

I'm 100% not advocating dropping Dembele, as I said it's his spot to lose, I've just been seriously impressed with Griffiths passing and link up play this season under Rodgers, something I slated Griffiths for last season.

I hear ya. Fingers crossed anyway, I'm confident.

6/1 for us to score 4 or more goals - same as it was the last game. That's getting tapped.

Same team as last night, then bring on Griffiths & Roberts in the 2nd half. Stick another 5 past these * on Sunday.

Forrest has been good and much improved from last season, his form still doesnt compare to that of griffiths.. i was referrong to the possibility of dembele being dropped of rodgers wont play 2 up top but after last night roberts looks like hes got his spark back and quite frankly is twice the player of forrest

    My starting XI would be:

Gordon, Lustig, Erik, Jozo, Tierney, Brown, Henderson, Rogic, Sinclair, Roberts, Dembele

Been totally * with the flu. Literally worst flu I've ever had, for the last week. Today is first day, I feel even remotely buzzing for this game.
Same team as last night. And get them hammered again. Blitzed from the start, again. Let them know they're simply not on our level.

We better score a * load, cos I won a fortune last game, and il be taking some of the same bets :giggle1:

I didnt say drop dembele for griffiths i said griffiths must start.. but regardless theres no doubt in my mind that griffiths is definitely the better player out of the 2 right now, not saying dembele wont improve past him but definitely not yet.

    2 changes for me

    Gordon
    Lustig Toure Sviatchenko Tierney
    Brown McGregor
    Roberts Rogic Sinclair
    Dembele
Roberts and McGregor in for Forrest and Bitton. Roberts deserves a chance again and McGregor will add more legs and creativity in the deeper position. Griffiths can come on for big Tam around the 60th minute.

I was thinking that myself, he has tended to rest Toure if playing midweek. I'm not sure if he'll stick with him at the weekend because of his performance last night as dropping him may give them something to spin/see his morale drop.

Think the exact same, hes more likely to play now vecause of the mistakes than he wouldve been had he had a perfect game, im not overly fussed either way im a big fan of them both.

100% agree. Either should be good enough for them. I'm a big fan of Jozo, so i'd side with him but Toure strolled the game at Parkhead.

Toure will be injured will he not? Had a groin strain at the end of the game, for the last ten minutes or so.
