Came across the video of the Irish fans singing fields of anthenry against Spain at euro 2012, seen it before but it's amazing, would love to hear that song more at Celtic park.

This is not a criticism in any way, but given how we approached that game, how perfect would it have been if the "Let's go all in" TIFO had been for Wednesday night?

    Bump for this

On Saturday 5th November before the Celtic V Inverness Caledonian Thistle match, the Green Brigade will be holding our annual Food Bank Collection at Celtic Park. This will be our 4th consecutive initiative and each one has been met with an incredible response, and we're sure this one will be no different.

For the first 2 years, we were able to support many families in Glasgow's East End. As the success of the Food Bank Collection increased, it became apparent that due to the generosity of the Celtic support, we could actually send food all across the city. Subsequently, last year we were delighted to invite various Food Banks from all corners of Glasgow to bring a van and take crates of food back to their bases and feed those who needed it most as Christmas approached.

This year, we will once again be hoping to help feed families from all over the city and will have various vans around Celtic Park from around 12 noon right up until kick off at 3pm collecting food.

We also collected cash donations from those who preferred to donate in this way and will once again have buckets at each collection point. Due to obvious logistical restrictions, it is impossible to have every food bank in Scotland benefit from the food collected on match day. However, last year we were delighted to have collected a record amount of money, and donated £500 to a further 16 food banks up and down the country. This money was greatly appreciated by all and made a significant difference to many. We hope to be able to do this again and ensure that it is not only the people of Glasgow who benefit from the Celtic support's generosity this Christmas.

We are also really keen to ensure we lend our support to the Celtic FC Foundation as they get set to launch their Christmas Appeal once again. Last year's Christmas Appeal had many beneficiaries including The Invisibles, Yorkhill Children's Charity and Glasgow East Women's Aid in addition to 200 local families who live in poverty. The donations from the Celtic support went a long way to ensuring Christmas is that bit better and put smiles on the faces of many unfortunate families in Glasgow. More detail about last year's appeal can be found here www.celticfc.net/news/9674
We are sure that with your support, this year's could be even bigger and we will be donating a portion of the money raised on 5th November directly to the Christmas Appeal 2016.

We will also be asking the support to help with projects outside of Scotland. Scottish Action for Refugees support of the winter initiative programme seeks to provide much needed aid within refugee camps in northern Greece. There are currently 27,000 people living in tents in one of 24 camps under extreme conditions which will only worsen as the winter months approach. Your help will fund the shipping containers needed to transport aid to those suffering most and will make a tangible difference to thousands of lives. You can find more information about the great work of SAFR here - www.facebook.com/ScottishActionForRefugees/

"A football club will be formed for the maintenance of dinner tables for the children and unemployed."

We look forward to once again honouring Brother Walfrid's spirit by coming together and helping feed the poor and hungry in Scotland.

In simpler terms, the club has contacted buses and CSC to let them know that from Motherwell away, I believe is the game selected, away records will wiped clean.

They have spinned to some as basically an attempt to let those with no away record and new season ticket holders have easier access for away tickets. Yet have given a message to CSC privately, that its cause of this the new SFA rep thats attending every match. Which have reported Celtic several times over Irish rebels songs at away games.

Nutshell, how can we stop fans singing rebs.

They not been contacting any CSCs as afar as I am aware, that's not how buses really run these days. Some will get small allocations off the CSA, Affiliation but most will run through their own members independent allocation. What's happened I think is that JP has been asked and confirmed through email to some that they are looking to change how we allocate away tickets and starting everyone from scratch and doing it on a game by game basis is the likely new way.

They are hiding behind how it is unfair on new season ticket holders as the reason - and while it is true that this new season ticket holders (and probably some existing ones as well) have been crying like * weans and can't believe that they can't just waltz in and take up away tickets ahead of folk that have been going for years, the real reason re diluting the back to excellent away support as you say above is closer to the truth. This has been in the pipeline for some time, before we knew that this season would have seen the influx of new season ticket holders it has, but they put it off for whatever reason. Now it seems back on.

Absolutely farcical - as is the BMG away ticket and the cup semi ticket situations for that matter.

Good old Celtic - a real feelgood factor about the club, best in years, everyone absolutely buzzing about the direction we are going and they have to go and * off the hardcore support like this.

That is probably worded better than my initial post. I've seen the emails from JPT, several are already doing the rounds.

    Agreed re everything else.

That is another reason the change is a farce. There was 12,13 FCFS away days last season. A perfect chance for anyone to build up a record.

Believe it or not but this is whats been privately given as the back story for the change. To ensure that a divided support, some may lap it up so the can get the option of away tickets.

Like it or lump, the SFA rep at more than half or our games this season has marked down our supporter behavior. This is primarily the reason the club wants to 'sanitize' the away support now.

so you think the fans who will get the chance to get away tickets now are going to roll up and sing walk on for 90 mins, you are deluded.

The current tickets for away system has been running since just after Seville and it's taken many of the regular away goers a few years to get to the top of the pile simply by taking every single away ticket they could get. Thus building up enough attendance points to get tickets for the harder away games like Pittodrie & Tynecastle.

To suddenly wipe out a system that worked is utter madness. There is no doubt this new system if implemented is just to satisfy the small number of new ST holders who I suspect are the investor sponsor type. Well if they are so determined to travel to away games and get tickets for the harder stadiums then let them do what everyone else had to do and take "all" the easier games building up their priority points. Eventually they will get tickets for the likes of Tynecastle.

I'd bet my last £ the new ones all wanting tickets for Pittodrie etc won't be seen or be willing to travel up to Inverness , Ross County on a cold wet winter midweek night.

I don't. Does my opinion matter in the grand scheme, matter? No. Does the club view it that way? One would suspect yes.

You can disagree with everything I say, as your entitled too. This is however what is been communicated privately to some buses.
