OK, mate. It doesn't really matter if it's you or Opta, either way the statistic is not very relevant to the challenge we face tomorrow night for the reasons I have given above.

Yeah, I was a bit worried putting Heinze that people would think I was mad as he was brilliant at times. I just feel there was something about him on occasions, but I could be talking *.

I really do not agree that Carrick was superb at all and as for Neville being world class... :56:

Neville was probably the most overrated FB of his generation.

Anyone got a spare ticket? I'm down in Glasgow working for a week and would love to experience a CL game at paradise.

One thing that is very striking in those photos is that Sinclair, Sviatchenko, and Toure look like awesome specimens, just look at those legs, and even Roberts and Rogic look in pretty good shape. Then you have McGregor and he has the body of a journeyman athlete and the posture of a middle-aged man.

I guess it must be his innate constitution as surely our team of fitness experts must be getting everything out of his body that he can give, but I can't help wondering.

The O'Neill side was really a one-off in that we could go toe-to-toe with the best sides in the world at Celtic Park, it wasn't a case of us having to alter our normal domestic game to be more defensive in the CL, we could just carry on a usual and we would get the win more often than not.

One thing that strikes me about the Lennon and Strachan sides is how much more solid those sides were than the current team. They could absorb a lot of attacking play and had one or two guys with brilliant individual quality that were potential matchwinners. Imo we actually have more attacking options than Strachan or Lennon's teams but aren't really a patch on either defensively.

I would agree with all of that, mate. * paradoxical as * given that backline under WGS, though! I think we have better individuals in our back line now, but we are definitely less solid.
