I noticed a lot of irresponsible defending against Barca, where players never closed down attackers, then the same defenders started blaming his team mates trying to imply it was nothing to do with them.

I found this very unprofessional to watch - really pointless playing in CL with that attitude.

If they start this * again against City then another defeat is on the cards.

If they do their job right and man up, then we can beat anyone at home and I mean anyone!

    Come on Celtic!

If they don't get their act together for the upcoming CL games in this regard as we seen with guys like Bitton, Brown, Gamboa, Erik who were all guilty of this against Barca as well as a few others then they won't be playing with us next season so it's up to themselves.

With guys like Glen O'Drisscoll & Chris Davies on board they will be studying individual performances thoroughly and reporting back to Brendan who will not think twice about cutting out the slackers.

One thing we do have over City besides our atmosphere haha on the park is our threat at set pieces.

Man City don't have a lot of tall outfield players, in fact I'm pretty sure they only really have John Stones who is 6 ft 2in. The rest are all basically all under 6ft.

We've got Erik, Kolo, Lustig, Simunovic, Dembele, Bitton and I'd guess at least five of those six will be starting so that gives us a decent threat at corners, FKs etc. Man City mainly all take short corners or shorts FKs from non shooting positions.

We need to try and capitalise on this.

Only Barca and Milan have beat us at home over 24 Champions League games.

We have to keep that fortress mentality going.

I hope you are right. That's progress in my book but why was Efe anywhere near the team then.

Also some attacking style managers aren't tip top on defending skills.

Celtic park is our back bone though and hopefully City succumb to the strain.

I well remember our CL games under Strachan and none of those teams were as good as this Man City team, with the exception of Barça (which we lost).

Edit: who the * is Doumbe? Can't even remember the existence of this guy (he says, undermining his own argument). :smiley-laughing002:

Noticed this, the situation was unacceptable. I think that will play out again.

We beat Milan who were the reigning European champions, are you saying this city team is better than them?
