I've read a few posts on here & I'd just like to say.....WE HAVE BEEN * OVER AGAIN....Brendan got us the money so where the * are the new players ? .... we the fans have forked out probs as much as we could...pistol Pete hasn't changed 1 bit.....I for one am * happy....and see this, we tried for him but,....heard all you bullshit b4 Pete. ....there is no doubt in my mind that * has made a fortune lately and always off us... I love the celtic but I'm sick of them treating me like a * cash cow.

If we had got an easier group i think we would have spent a bit of money, but barca city and monchengladbach....we could throw the whole 30 million at the team and still come last.

Thats the thinking behind it in my opinion, we will walk the league no question, also win a cup or hopefully 2.

Im happy enough with this window as a whole.

I would have been happy if we had got rid of some of the deadwood around the club !

Ffs, formality when Celtic.of recent are about nothing is a formality.

Why did you have to say that, couldn't you have just played more Pokemon Go..........

Still not sure on De Vries so GK is down as 'needed' for me with regards to transfers. Overall, it's not a bad squad and will win the SPL no problem, but to compete in the Champions League you simply cannot have lackluster players in any position.

Think that's pretty fair :50: Think the back four and forwards are as good as we could expect.

I'd say that's a fair assessment just now as well. 9 out of 11 positions sorted isn't bad at all, considering it's Brendan's first window..

Could quite easily be 10 out of 11 if De Vries settles quickly, or a full house if Bitton get's his finger out..

    * so true mate, when you go on a match day thread and we go behind the hysteria is hilarious.

Even monchengladbach have spent 35 million on signings this window, really the gulf in quality between any of the team in our group and us is crazy.

I think everyone realises all 3 sides are better than us.

Would have helped to have gotten someone in to improve the squad, regardless of Europe. That is all some people are saying. We might get pumped out by xmas but we will still need a CM come January.

Nothing wrong with most points being made.

100% agree with you there mate. Couldn't have put in better.

great last call on phone-in tonight. guy basically said we have more than enough for domestic and with certain players, examples given were snodgrass, lucas and lansbury, out of contract next summer january could be prime pickings for just paying a nominal fee. feel a wee bit better now. just makes sense on so many levels. we'll * the league imo and i just hope injuries are kind to us and we don't get pummelled in these group stages.

I feel we are have a great backine now.
Exciting forward positions with a lot of pace along with rogic in behind. All with the ability to create and score.
The one area it needed that increase in quality was the centre mid area.
I do like Bitton and also mcgregor. Brown has his uses with his hunger and encouragement n seems to be keeping it simple now which is benefitting him. However a higher grade of player in there or even two and we would have the making of an excellent side.so disappointed we didn't get anyone in. Could have been a real moment to do it too had plenty cash to do it and while we have Roberts here this year with that addition or two every position would have been sorted with competition too.ah well maybe in 4 months time for now hope the guys in there perform

You know as well as me mate that some posters will use CL results to have a go at the team. As sure as night follows day. :smiley-laughing002:

West Brom? Is that who WB is?

You are comparing us to an English side?

Prepare to be perennially disappointed in Celtic for the rest of your life pal.

"There's no point buying a player worth X when you're coming up against a team worth Y."

Must be the worst argument I've heard against buying players for CL. Nonsensical.

You strengthen to the best of your ability. You give yourself the best shot at winning, and there are fine margins between winning and losing.

The failure to add quality at DM/CM probably says more about our scouting network than the clubs desire..

Think Brendan needs to revamp that network as its been poor recently..

I really don't think he trusts it. Why else have we been shopping in England all summer? The English market is terrible value for money in general, but Brendan and his team know it well enough to find the bargains.
