Although I am disappointed we didn't sign another one as we could have used someone of quality in the middle.

We're hearing "joke of a club" etc. * me man. We're paying a manager over 2m per year. BR said he didn't want to sign players for the sake of it so someone at an affordable price/Willing to come that fit the Bill obviously wasn't there.

Was still a decent window.

 

Did the picture of him in the Blackburn strip give it away?

These type of posts keep me sane.

 

Bit of a joke to be honest, so close to being one of the best transfer windows in years and yet a real obvious weakness in the middle of the park has not been sorted. We're gonna get * raped in Europe.

 

The only thing that is giving me a glimmer of hope is the fact that a lot of what I had read regarding McCarthy in the last day or two said it could go down to the wire.

Still hopeful.

 

Would've liked a center mid in, ideally 2 with a striker as well but we have still had a really strong window, and improved in key area's. Central defence, goalkeeper, right back, left wing/attacker and a striker. All but 1 are going to be guaranteed starter's with Dembele having to bide his time for now..

We've improved, got a lot of deadwood out....which was arguably the hardest task and we'll have to do both again in January..

We're still in a good position. Unfortunately for whatever reason's, we haven't got over the line with anything today..

Last minute signings are usually panic signings. Rodgers has got his guys in early. Sure we would have loved a creative central midfielder... but compare where we were and what our squad was at the end of March and what it is now.

Anyone who doesnt feel thats progress needs a reality check.

We have chucked Mulgrew and Johansen, and sent Allen out on loan.

If we don't sign a midfielder we may regret it.

 

I agree that we need one and what is to say that we haven't been looking at getting one in?

However if we can't get any of the targets we want, should we just go and sign another sub-standard player? You don't always get what you want in life or it'd be easy.

 

I think we can all agree that we had a good window BUT it´s still criminal to not got atleast one player for CM no matter if we qualified or not. It´s our weakest position and we will have problems there even domestically fs.

 

No it's a disgrace we haven't brought in anyone, I take it you're happy with bringing in 30 million from the champions league and not signing anyone? Excuse the past two years for not spending money was because we weren't in the champions league, now we are in it and haven't strengthened the team any further!

 

I didn't see a huge improvement in Israel to be honest.
Will need to take your word for it that the keeper and RB are improvements.
The deadwood is still there- mulgrew, johansen and Allan weren't deadwood imo.
