The two of them have been here 5 minutes, Gamboa especially.

Give yourself (and the rest of us) peace.

You love to make early statements don't you, in the hope they come true and you can lord it over folk.

You would have been telling us how * Larsson was if TC was around in 97.

Gamboa is a Pullis reject. We were mugs to buy him. Pullis must have thought we had heather growing out of our ears.
He has shown absolutely nothing in the two games he has played. He is a runner not a footballer. We would have been better keeping Janko.

Gamboa didn't fit Pullis' model of a full back.

    You already knew that though.

He's played 56 games in the Tippielagen. 11 in the Premiership.

In that time he's scored 1 goal and weighed in with a whopping 5 assists. That's mainly in the Tippilagen.

I don't see any signs he was ever a player, which makes you wonder if he's actually a Brendan Rodgers signing. It's got all the hallmarks of being a John Park signing.

That's neither here nor there, but it's a weird one signing a guy who's basically hardly played any football in two years and before that played in Norway.

Exactly. I think it was another sub standard panic buy from John Park. I don't think Brendan had anything to do with it.

Neymar ripped him a new one and he didn't have the excuse of being isolated. His problems against Barca came from being totally switched off time and again during the match. He fell asleep for the first goal. He fell asleep for the Suarez goal and he fell asleep many other times too where we got away with it against Barca.

Concentration lapses and a complete lack of awareness are nothing to do with the opposition.

Pullis thought he was a diddy.

Billy fucken King rode Gamboa like a * on her wedding night.
Naw I don't need any more evidence about Gamboa

He's not even a Pulis reject he's a guy similar to Joe Hart at City who didn't suit the managers style of play

    It's laughable.

He would have wrote off the King of Kings after a few games in the hope of lording it over people in the future if it came to pass.

When you throw enough * some of it is bound to stick eventually. When the guy throwing the * is an egotistical troll with delusions of grandeur, he can do it as many times as he likes until he gets it right, then all past failures never happened in his eyes.

Even a broken clock is right twice a day.

It's easy to troll Celtic Chat when you don't care about the subject you use to wind people up.

I agree it's far too early to judge Gamboa. He might have had a lack of confidence after the Barca game which was a baptism of fire, how many players make their debut in the Nou Camp?

I don't believe it was a John Park signing either because Brendan wouldn't have played him straight away if he was. No, Brendan definitely sees something in him so hopefully we see it too in the coming weeks.

The first duty of a full back is his defensive qualities, at least it is to my mind. If he is also good at getting up and down the flanks and putting a decent cross in then that is a bonus, but defensive qualities should be imperative. If you have a short full back then you are going to have problems clearing high looped balls into the diagonals and penalty box, it's all text book stuff, any coach who has his badges will tell you that.

First impressions like anything else in life mean a lot, if you have a short full back who can't defend then obviously you are going to have problems in your back line, and you are creating an extra work load and responsibility for the other defenders, all text book stuff again, no rocket science stuff here needed.

It didn't take the more discerning on this board to know Ambrose and Boyata were both prunes. You don't need 10-15 games to know if a player is a prune.
