I like this move a lot unfortunately I think we are always going to concede sloppy goals and we will just have to accept the fact that we will score a lot more. Attack is the best form of defence and the pace in our side is going to be unreal if we sign him. Compared to last year the football is so more exciting to watch and if we bang in 5 goals every week and concede 1 or 2 sloppy goals i would still be happy

Pulis has done well for how he is, and that's a manager who keeps side's just about safe.....but there's no doubt that his football is absolutely pish, and his team's full of big lumps who sit back and are direct..

It's no wonder a lightening paced, good on the ball, attacking right (wing) back is surplus..

I remember him from the world cup, like many, but apart from that I haven't seen him. His youtube clips (I know) show exactly why Brendan is keen..

Looks * hot. One thing we're no lacking any more is pace, and countering pace. Frightening..

 

Dont know anything about him- but trust rodgers judgement absolutely. Paulthetim gets unfair * alot on here he called this right fair play to him.

 

He'll provide a good alternative to lustig it seems. completely different kind of full back

I mind watching a West Brom game probably near the start of last season or maybe before and commenting on here at how West Brom were looking * and had no pace and were launching long balls when West Brom were usually one of the more decent footballing sides and said something like "they are playing like a Tony Pulis team" not thinking twice about it then someone replied that Pulis was their manager :smiley-laughing002:

 

Would imagine after a couple weeks training etc he will be first choice RB (if better than lustig of course) that's another thing I like about Rodgers, he doesn't sign players to have them on the bench 85% of the season

 

Before we were ever linked with this guy I heard stories of Pulis not playing him because of his height and tendency to attack and not fufil the defensive role set by the manager, in my honest opinion tho this guy likes to run at his man can cross a ball and is lightening quick I think it would be great business if he is cheap enough, Lustig is my first choice but he's getting on and injury prone and also Rodgers may fancy Lustig stepping into the middle a fair amount this season.

 

If we get him in, you may see us comfortably going with 3-5-2, with the pace and quality we have. Possibly Lustig back to right centre half with Toure and Erik..

Can see us deffo playing that in some of the group game's, but defensively minded 5-3-2, hitting on the break. That and 4-5-1 is the 2 main way's we'll go in the group's I suspect..

 

Lovely. Was excellent at the last World Cup for Costa Rica, but has lost his way at WBA. Understandable given their managers preferred style.

£1m for a 26 year old full international is a good deal. I'm sure he has a bit of European experience, too.

Has good pace and is more suited to a back 3 than Lustig.

 

I'm quite excited about this one tbh. I think he'll really add something to us.

 

Watched them yesterday and they were booed off at full time. No real idea's, no great style of play and big diddies across the whole back line. Only look a threat at set piece's..

As other's are saying, 1 mill seems to be a bit of a dteal here, despite no seeing him much. Can't imagine his wages are top dollar, given he's barely played and came from Denmark..

 

Looks the part in the you tube vid, can never be as bad as that diddy Janko, hopefully he is out the door if Gamboa comes in, he's not even good enough to be a back up right back
