He's * class though and I think Brendan can get the absolute best out of him.

 

I think Brendan knows since he let Stokes go it's important to get another Irish lad in.

I dont want to open this can of worms but it appears to be open? Irish like Mauro Camoranesi was Italian? Or Thiago Motta Italian? or Eduardo Croatian? He was born to Scottish parents in Castlemilk, he's Scottish. The country you choose to represent Internationally doesn't determine your nationality.

That doesn't make sense, I consider myself Scottish but my family comes from Ireland. If my great grandparents came from Ireland, does that make my Granny and Granda Irish, so my Dad's Irish... so on and so forth.

National identity isn't as clear cut as where you are born and raised.

Nah but national identity is both factual (he's Scottish) and subjective (he feels Irish I think) in my opinion

Just to be clear and simple, nationality is an invented concept that has no real objective basis in what we call 'reality', which in itself is not objective or clear cut, and therefore he has no nationality and none of this is even real and our experiences are all just an illusion
