Aye, the fouls against Toure and Erik were no different to the one he let the Hapoel midfielder away with a few minutes earlier. It was inconsistent from him. The penalty I have a bit of sympathy for the ref. I thought it was a penalty when I first seen it as well if I'm honest.

Lucky to get through last night, worst display from Celtic I can remember in a long time, play like that in the group stages and teams there have the potential to put 8 past us. On the plus side, the money we got will hopefully allow us to address some of our problems.

We're through, that's all that matters. We now have money and the prestige of the CL to bring players in.

The next week is going to be very exciting, hopefully we have some irons in the fire just waiting on qualification.

The defence gets exposed that much more when you keep giving the ball away and can't keep possession. That was our biggest failing last night.

i think the psychology should be to treat the away games like a lads 2/3 break with a wee match at the start and if they get a result then the rewards are a night on the lash wherever they are. unless it's ajax, warsaw, (please feel free to add more):icon_mrgreen:

honestly, i just wish we could shake off this away match in european weak- minded pish.

That is often our biggest failing. We panic on the ball and give away possession far too cheaply at times in Europe, especially away from home.

Yep. Spot on SD. If we can't attract folks now, we'll never do it. Also think we've been holding back the boat at The Broomielaw for the departures - quite a few "outs" me think.

"It’s amazing. There are a lot of boys here who haven’t played in the Champions League yet, so it’s big for us all and it’s an experience we are all looking forward to."
Agreed fantastic for the players who worked so hard regardless of last night . But hopefully for Celtic at this level the likes of Janco & Mc Gregor never do

That Depeche Mode when we score!!
The main objective was to get back in the Group Stages and that has been TFFT! Now i simply cannot wait to see what group we will be in! This is going to be one * of a season!

Flip it the other way, they were lucky still to be in it after the 1st leg.

Probably the most tense game I've ever watched last night. If they had scored the 3rd that would have been similar to when McDonald scored against us on Black Sunday. Thought we were doomed after the Chuckle Brothers made a hash of it for their 2nd goal, never been so raging at us conceding - even against Deadco. Estastic to get through.:celt_2:

I wish Hapoel Beer Sheva all the best in the Europa League. :50: Have some tricky players. Brendan said the people & hospitality were first class too.

I was trying to type all this live at the time :56:
Rodgers is a MASTER with the Media, calls them on first name terms, really clever lad getting as many hacks on his side that he can.
Also at the end, he stands up, asks everyone to hold on, then praises the people in Israel, people at the hotel, and Be'er as a team etc

    UTTER CLASS by Rodgers :shamrock:

PS: I was so drained, I fell asleep on the sofa for the night. That was a fecking hard game to watch, his tactics and belief he gave to the players were astonishing, from the second he arrived, till now

He spent all night closing down, winning headers. Whole team was on back foot. :97:

Gordon caught the ball, thinking 'this ia mine', then from his right, blind right, Janko barged into him, Gordon spills the ball due to Janko.
Did you watch the interview with Gordon on BT Sports buddy?

Gordon should have been off his line half a second sooner, giving a big clear shout that it was his ball.

He dithered and went through twenty scenarios before he reacted.

Completely his fault imo. If Janko gets a shout he can check his run slightly.

    That's my view as well.

Gordon was too slow to come out for the ball. He's just dreadful at dealing with cross balls.
