Would definitely take number nine. His footwork and power were superb.

My stream changed to * Burton Johavohas v Scouseville or something at half time……..I take it we were worse in the 2nd half? Buckin dire in the first,

Are we lambs for the slaughter in the group stages?
Hope tae * we don't get Dundalk.

Well fucksake that wasn't how I thought the night could go. Granted it was never going to be easy, but we made it so difficult for ourselves again.

First off, Hapoel made it very difficult by pressing us high up the park. They used the switch of play to great effect and shown much more quality than in the 1st leg. While they did make it difficult, we let ourselves down by underperforming. Throughout the game, we struggled badly to gain possession and retain it. They bettered us physically, used the ball better and functioned cohesively within the formation. They always seemed to have a free man. A bit like our 1st half showing in the home leg.

We ended up deep as they were getting so much joy from balls into our full back area or even in behind. Griffiths was left isolated and the midfield were unable to link, bar a couple of individual runs from Sinclair which got us out of our half. We played more akin to how a domestic side would do at Celtic Park. And we suffered from all the problems which we see, lack of possession, constant defending and spend the whole time chasing the ball. Which in the type of climate like tonight was an unhelpful scenario.

IMO, I thought it was crying out for a switch to 3-5-2 early on and once we did, we looked slightly more at ease. The extra body in midfield to help out in dealing with the switch of play. It was causing us all sorts of problems, we had both full backs being outnumbered and our centre halfs being dragged out to assist. We were all over the place. The 2 forward ( Dembele) would offer support to Griffiths and help us retain the ball further forward. Played a number of aimless high balls and balls into corners, giving him no chance of doing anything.

I'll refrain from firing into individuals, the team didn't perform and that was more worrying for me, than individuals.

While we could have went out tonight, we also could just as easily have put this tie beyond doubt in the 1st leg. Tonight's aim was Champions League qualification, no matter how we got it. That was achieved and I look forward to 4:30pm on Thursday for the Group stage draw.

Dundalk didn't make it by the way.

No I don't think we are lambs to the slaughter, home games will see to that but away games irrespective of where they may be will be a tall order unless we get the quality in within the next week to tackle this, as hard as that was to watch it was the easiest lesson any Celtic fan can learn that we need a good replacement for Janko as well as other reinforcements to make a proper fist of this group stage.

Just to be back in it is wonderful and that's my main concern and hats off to Brendan, there were a good few times in these 6 qualifying games I wasnt sure, particularly tonight at 0-2

Remember us being written off at the draw the year we beat Barcelona with the Watt goal, under Brendan I have more hope than maybe I should have but let's give it a go and enjoy the ride this Autumn

We are there. At this stage in our development it doesn't matter if we get no points in group stage. It's all about coefficient abs banking that cheque and allowing us to maintain financial superiority domestically and get 10 in a row
