BR on how he feels: "Brilliant, longest 90 minutes I’ve had a coach.

BR: "Be’er Sheva were outstanding. They had to force the game and they played very well but have to congratulate my players.

BR: "All the work we have done over course of pre-season has been around that mentality and quality.

BR: "We can’t always play well & tonight was purely about resilience.

BR: "It was an amazing effort by the players on the back of everything they have been through.

BR: "I’m delighted they have got their rewards after a long pre-season.

BR: I’m immensely proud, so proud for the football club.

BR: "I'm proud firstly for Dermot, Peter and the board, it's great for them. They stuck their neck out in the summer.

BR: "The club has a real positive feel to it and this was hopefully going to keep that momentum going, a huge step for us.

BR: "Absolutely delighted for the players, the work they have put in, the mentality, the honesty they showed, got their rewards.

BR: "I'm delighted for the coaching staff & team & people around us. They've had to work very hard, finding ways to improve the team.

BR: "Obviously there's the supporters. An incredible moment for them. They're back in Europe's elite - where Celtic belong.

BR on the game: "It was a very difficult for us. We had to work so hard to shift momentum of the game, to block spaces.

BR: "We started with 4-3-3 and never really got hold of the ball, moved to a diamond at the start of the second half.

BR: "But they were still exploiting the sides & it was a problem for us as we couldn't keep the ball. Eventually went to a back five.

BR: "That seemed to settle us in the last period of the game and we got a bit of control then.

BR: "Have built into the players a belief that if you work hard, with intensity, you will get confidence & a better chance of winning.

BR: "When I came in the criticism was Celtic couldn't tough it out, but we showed over 2 games under huge pressure, that this team can.

BR: "So much riding on this qualification and as you say this was typical Celtic. But it's really happened, we've qualified.

BR: "It's great for everyone and great for the nation as well, it's huge for Scotland.

BRENDAN RODGERS HAS CAME INTO A SCARED TEAM..
AND SOME-FECKING-HOW, HE HAS GUIDED THE CLUB INTO THE CHAMPIONS LEAGUE.
His decision to go 5 at the back was EPIC, Rodgers knew tonight we were not getting any real chances. Looking back subs were confusing, but looking back now with a free mind (Hard still, I know, lol)

    Rodgers inherited a scared squad.
We are in the Champions League
And as BT Sports have just shown....
He has made us over £30M..With getting to the Play Off, and not getting us to the Group Stages.

    Well done Celtic...
    Well done the players..
    Well done the fans...
    Well done the Club

    WE ARE CELTIC!!

Can't remember another game that ended in success that was so difficult to watch. Delighted we are through but think I've had a mental breakdown :smiley-laughing002:

we had a midfield the night...must have missed that mate. :icon_mrgreen:

his switch with 20 minutes to go got us through but what i struggled with was when he said we lacked belief. i just can't grasp that after humping them off the park last week. it's almost as if they * themselves as soon as they board a plane abroad.

ps-give us madrid and man city please

Speculate to accumulate worked. Just shows how fine the lines are though, that's us with a top class manager and a couple of good signings and we still just barely got through.

Don't give a * though as we're in the Champions League and that's all that matters. Hope we build from a position of strength now as that's a fair whack of money we'll get from the CL group stages and with another couple of quality signings we could make the CL group stages a regular thing for our club.

We have the manager, we just have to back him properly. We haven't even spent a great deal although for us I suppose we have.

exactly people going over the top about him

he isnt a defender though at best he could play wing back for us domestically sometimes but hes a winger for me any good stuff is in the last third

he put accross a peach of a ball for that left winger we bought a couple of weeks ago who hit it right at the goalie 1st half, going forward he reminds me a little of agathe a little nowhere near as fast

    ma memory is * attrocious * *
