I don't think anyone should be overly excited but you should be glad that Brendan has got his man. No point pretending we know how good/bad he is or giving out over the guys age. 35 is not exactly old for a keeper.

Not every player we sign is going to be as good as Lubo.

Scott Bains * *, don't understand why people are giving this fella a chance. Has Rodgers let us down so far in regards to the transfer window? Lets trust his judgement.

I trust Brendan so have no problem with him signing. Seems like a solid and dependable keeper so that's fine by me, the age thing is different, for a keeper being 35 is like being 26-27 as an outfield player as you might get another 5 years at their current level before they declining. That is how I see it anyway.

It's so obviously part of Brendan's plan it's painful. Almost as painful as watching * squabble over De Vries.

I'll admit to not following teams who ply their trade in the lower half of the English 2nd tier. But still, everything I've said about him is factually correct. Aside from last season he's spent the past five years as a Championship level backup goalkeeper.

Makes you wonder why, if he's as good as those videos show him to be, he's not played at a higher level? Or even played at all for the most part?

Nah, this * just expects better than a Championship mainstay who's 35 years old. Not too much to ask for really, is it? Surely?

We've went from Forster to Gordon to this guy. That's regression in my opinion.

Scott Bain is brilliant between the sticks. If it wasn't for him last season Dundee would have been near enough relegated. A great Scottish goalkeeper with potential.

Brendan's got his man. What Brendan wanted. It's now up to the boy to show us how good he really is.. It's trusting the keeper now no Brendan. So for all yous shouting about 'trust Brendan' he's done his bit in getting him in. You just have to trust a GK that is 35 year old that has a poor saving rate per shot. I'm not excited about this but I'll give him a chance.

Why dont we wait before we already call this a poor transfer. £400k for a GK who Rodgers really wanted, and Nott'ham's didnt want to leave. Can't please anyone these days, I guarantee the people complaining have never seen him play, I don't get around to watching alot of Forest games so I'm in the same boat but I trust BR knows him and knows he'll he a solid keeper for us.

Reality it, we needed another keeper and he's comparable to what we had before Logan got injured. Maybe better.

I don't see the point of it. Doesn't seem to be much better than Bailly who, in my opinion, is a decent keeper that has never beem properly tested

But I think Bailly is injured, so we needed backup

We could have loaned someone or signing a younger keeper with some future.

Signing a 35 year old goalkeeper is like signing a 29 year old midfielder. Plenty of good years to come. Judging a player before he's played for us is a mistake many have made before and been made to look rather foolish. I'd have thought our own supporters would know this more than anyone.

Don't know why so many people seem upset at this. I wouldn't even call it underwhelming as I have no idea who people would have been happy with instead?

A solid, experienced goalie coming off arguably the best season of his life in a league much better and challenging than our own - for a small fee and presumably quite low wages, seems a good all round deal to me.

I would like to see him in goal as quickly as possible but even so it should give Gordon the kick up the * he desperately needs.

And he's black as well, so ticks the Brendan box for our signings.
