Somebody should tell him to shut the * up.

We are the only team in scotland trying to fly the flag for the country in European competition, clubs should be bending backwords to accomodate us as we are the only ones boosting the country's co-efficiency.

    Jealousy ripping right oot it!

I can kind of see his point where his team are left with hee haw to do all weekend, but surely they could have planned ahead and sorted a wee get away for training or even a game against another side in a friendly?

It's not as if they have to all just stay home and do * all for the whole weekend.

Other managers/clubs in general really just can't wait to stick the boot into us or moan at any given opportunity.:56:

Maybe they shoud've tried to organise a friendly of their own, then they wouldn't be sitting idle while we're playing ours.

    (What Dabby said).

I think he has a point tbf , having said that though they could have arranged a game for this weekend as well as they have had plenty notice we would be postponing it.

As much as i would have preferred the league game this weekend, a wee training session in Limerick just to keep us fresh, dont care about score line, getting home injury free should be the result we are looking for

This tie has been arranged for ages. Partick Thistle have had plenty time to sort out a friendly if they wanted to.

The Thistle boss sounds a bit prickly.

Has he ever bumped his gums when his team have been left with "hee-haw" fitba to play when the international breaks are going on? Naw.

It's well within the rules, and as you say, they could have arranged a friendly......* they could even have a friendly against their own reserves.

Any team can ask for these things. And if they're that unhappy, vote it out at the AGM

No he doesn't, the rules are the rules and there's nowt wrong with it. As long as it's early in the season imo.

Do you think if a club wanted to play Thistle in a multi million pound friendly during a game weekend they would postpone the weekend game as they could with the rules? Of course they would.

This is all in preperation for us for our CL Qualifying assault which will benefit the whole of Scottish football should we make it. Wonder if Thistle will accept the £300-400K each top flight Scottish Club receive from UEFA for us qualifying for the CL Groups?

    I bet they fecking will.

Is it our fault that our league starts before all the big league's? Are we supposed to turn down millions to accommodate Partick * Thistle, in a pre season tournament that dwarfs what we earn for winning our own league?

    * up Alan. You'll be having a few empty weekdays as well now that you've been papped out the cup by United. That gonna be our fault as well?
