Same old question every year it seems and one I'm mulling over this year. I've always enjoyed Pro Evo more than FIFA but it really * me off that Celtic were not in 2016. The things I feel FIFA does better are the presentation, online and the manager mode. I feel PES plays better but finding a match online most times is too slow for me.

I'm waiting to here if Celtic will be in this years PES, that will probably swing my decision.

What will you be buying and why?

Agree...love both...usually buy fifa for ps4 (reason to keep ps4) for Multiplayer and seasons....Then i usually get PES for PC later on ( pes has better gameplay, but lack of teams and MP is crap)

How was the PC version of PES? I've fancied getting it as it's easier to get new strips/updates and stuff in instead of faffing about with USB stick on the PS4. That's actually a good shout though, might get FIFA for the PS4 for when friends visit (my PS4 is basically a YouTube/Netflix machine at the moment) and pick up PES on the PC.

I had both last year on PS4 and chopped and changed between what I thought was better but in the end I was disappointed with both games. PES was the better match game, looked better and played better but the career mode was just unplayable with the fake names and teams. Even when you go to the trouble or putting real names and kits you get random team from Argentina buying players in EPL for 40 million and so on and then the stupid cartoon looking haircuts of some of the fake players the game is too arcade. I guess playing Football manager for years I wanted a bit more realism but for playing the odd game with you mates then I would pick PES over FIFA but for real names and kits and more realism in career mode I would pick FIFA.

Brilliant tbh....i have 2016 and installed all the patches, includes celtic etc .....but its SP only really (dirty pirate i am)....but its great.....goal celebrations suck,Gfx are stunning tho

Same as me, play PS4 Fifa for MP and fun and then PES for difficult but great Single player

The patches are are easy to install...youtube has loads of tutorials....

Fifa, already pre-ordered. Main reason being it has all the real names etc, can't stand PES not having them. Hopefully gameplay is a lot better this year.

PES as always, usually only buy a FIFA game once every 4 or 5 years to see what it's like but it's never changed my mind.

I hated fifa this year played it for about a month and chucked it, been on Fifa 15 since which is much more fun.

If 17 is anything like 16 I'll hate it.

I never play online on PES mate or any other sports games really so I wouldn't know, usually just play Become a Legend on PES, Be a Pro on Madden, NHL and FIFA or Career mode on NBA 2K and MLB The Show. Always preferred being part of a team rather than controlling everyone.

It's not, it is running on a new engine so it will play and look different.

I'll get Fifa this year, never bothered with Fifa 16, had planned to get it but most people said it wasn't great and I got FIFA 15 pretty late on so was happy enough to just keep playing that.

Have tried a couple of the PES demos but haven't played it properly in about ten years.

FIFA. No question. I've had every one since 2000 so not going to stop now.

Especially if CP is in it.

Don't think CP is going to be in it.

Not just last year, it's been the same for a decade now. :smiley-laughing002: How hard is it to maintain a stable connection between 2 people in a simple football game ffs? :56: How they're still having issues after all these years is laughable.
