Wow that was quite the game last night. Really other then that 5-10 minute spell early in the second half when they scored their 2 goals I thought we were brilliant. To bag 5 goals at this level and have other good chances is impressive. The quality of our play on and off the ball was excellent. The biggest plus though out of that game and it says a lot about this new team even at this early stage is how we fought back from the quick loss of those 2 goals to get back the 3 goal cushion. No way that happens last year. Showed a real character and determination to get control of the game again after a double blow like that. The second leg will not be easy no question about that. But having said that they will have to really be aggressive and take chances coming forward and we certainly showed last night we can open them up and score over there.

 

I think Strachan was spot on last night when he said Hapoel caused themselves problems by leaving 3 players forward when we went into attack and I think they'll do the same next week, especially since they need at least 3 goals. I can see us making plenty of chances over there and I'd be surprised if we don't score at least one.

 

That same tactic over there will cause them serious problems.

Game was sensational. After the Motherwell match Rodgers looks like he has firmly put his stamp on the club. These 2 matches alone have offered more excitement and enthusiasm for the game here than just about any time in recent seasons. The turnaround (though its still early days) seems remarkable.

He is clearly in charge of the signings, thank christ, has quickly sorted out the Efe problem (he is gone), has the team playing a genuine pressing game (not an imaginary one), is happy to give young players a chance, has revived Forrest as a player and in Scott Brown looks to have given us a motivated captain. Its fantastic.

 

Just watched the highlights from last night. TV doesn't remotely pick up the amazing atmosphere. Not felt the stadium move so much under my feet for ages.

 

Would love it if he could wrangle some deal to keep Roberts.

 

Should we be expecting fan trouble over there now??

Wow did last night happen feels like a blur, voice is a goner . Place was rockin again. Went back to the hoops bar and then St Vincents after, parties everywhere man feels like the MON years again.
