    As long as he can throw the ball quickly out occasionally i'm all for it.

    Gordon can't start a counter attack to save his life and in general has declined horribly. Real competition for him was vital, a cheap experienced goalie with a good record in a league far better than our own, all round seems a good deal actually.

    Rodgers is signing EPL/Championship players for very good prices.
    This keeper we are all guessing on, for all we know he has 2/3/4 seasons in him at a really decent level. We can't sign every player with an eye to sell. But we do have a few in the team who could generate £10M+ if needed.

    You're right and I'm sure there are younger, better keepers out there somewhere for £400k, 100%.

    It's very evident to see that Rodgers isn't really looking for prospects though, he wants proven quality, playing at a top level. Guys that are going to come in and hit the ground running.

    He, and we, need to win the title this year. Rodgers needs it for his reputation and it looks like he wants the stability of guys he's worked with and trusts.

    Despite the English market being a total rip off, I'm absolutely behind this shift in transfer policy. Get a championship spine in and then come Jan/next summer, start shopping around Europe for cheap talent.

    Aye, I'd agree, it's one of his better traits.

    Has been doing it in Europe as well, usually does it so quickly you don't know where the * it has went as the camera is still focusing on him, so I really don't get folk holding that against him.
