Ah well, trust Rodgers as most do. Seems more of a competition signing than a direct replacement though

    100% true.

Any penalty taken into him in a normal game that's been missed (Outwith Shootouts) has only been because the PK taker missed the target. Like the one below at 1.17

    [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UC7Ra9-_Ik8[/ame]

He's been in goals for about 48 penalties in his career and he's never saved a single one.

Aren't many videos kicking about of him.

Of the few clips I have seen he seems a good shot stopper but then so is Gordon. You'd imagine this is purely down to his distribution and knowledge of Rodgers' style. I'm unsure whether he is any good at coming out and commanding his area. We could really be doing with that.

He's injured, so still the possibility of another in for the wildcard

I doubt we will see a wildcard.

Any more signings will depend on qualification. I'd expect maybe 1 or 2 quality ones should we do it.

Personally I don't think Gordon is good enough but it would be wrong to say that he didn't give us his best. His best just isn't enough for Celtic. The guy is a Celtic player and no matter his weaknesses he's shared the highs and lows with us and deserves our respect at the very least. When Scott Brown came to Celtic folk went on about him being a closet hun with a tattoo to match and now few would argue his heart belongs to Celtic.

I welcome a new keeper and trust in Brendans judgement.

Saw one Forest fan saying he's not the best at coming for crosses. Hopefully said fan is wrong :smiley-laughing002:

Same but it is just one of those type transfers.

Could end up being a steal or we might end up still having to look for a GK come January.

Just going with it for now. Rodgers knows him well, I am just using to that to convince myself. He seems competent as well, in fairness.

One thing I was hoping we'd get from a keeper, at least the ability to shout and bawl at defenders. As long as he is a communicator.

Maybe the bringing in of De Vries will spur him into a bit of good form?

I know we were singing Gordon's praises after he signed with some excellent displays.

Gordon isn't a * keeper (even though I probably said that last week :56:) he is a decent keeper that needs to iron out a few things in his game but at the moment he is falling short of the requirements to be Celtics number one.

So aye Bailly is * and will never be challenging for number one so here's hoping there is now a bit of healthy competition going on.

Just look at a player like Forrest as soon as there is a bit of competition on the scene (given that he keeps up from his one decent game :56:)

Why? He was brilliant for Swansea under Rodgers. Rodgers wanted to keep him at Swansea when they got promoted but he chose to leave. He won PoTY at Nottingham Forest last season and saved them from a relegation battle by all accounts.

The only negative thing about this move is that he's 35 but that's not even that old for a keeper. He has at least 3 good years left in him.

I also hope Rodgers signing so many players he knows and others from England is just about bringing stability in his first season. I mean Toure, Dembele and Sinclair will likely all be good signings. But it's quite restrictive

If Brendan loves him so much I'm sure he's a good communicator. Meant to be very good with his feet as well and good at playing the sweeper keeper role. I'm really coming around to this signing. Looking forward to see what CM Brendan has up his sleeve now. I know he'll want to make that signing a very good one.

    Bailly is a weird one.

I'm not sure on him but I don't really know where I am getting that from as we have barely seen the poor *. :56: He has played in the Bundesliga after all and has 8 caps for Belgium. Think he just comes across as one of those mental keepers who may or may not have the tendency to do something stupid.

One thing I will say is he looks good on the deck which should appeal to yer man Brendan.

I think it's definitely just to bring a bit of stability. At the same time though, the only reason we could even begin to attract the likes of Scott Sinclair and Kolo Toure is because they are both so fond of Brendan.

Brendan also never worked with Moussa as far as I know?
