    Suppose the one thing you can say is at 35 and being a keeper he still has a few year left. I was expecting someone to come in and take the number 1 spot immediately. Time will tell if he is good enough.

    It will be interesting to see if Rodgers sees him as our number 1. I wouldn't be overly fussed if he did immediately be given the chance. Gordon isn't exactly filling me with confidence just now, and his distribution is shocking.

    1. He played under Brendan for 2 years
    2. He won Nottm Forest POTY last season
    3. Brendan Rodgers wants him at Celtic

    Although these two are on a different spectrum in terms of class, Man united signed Van der Sar when he was 34 and he was total class for them for 4 seasons. Now I realise De Vries isn't van der Sar but the point in he is rated highly by Rodgers and forest fans so let's get behind him and hopefully he repays us

    For some reason I thought he was a big 6ft 5 * but he is only 6ft 1. Wee bit taller than Vorm.

    Sky sports reporting he's having a medical.

    Had a look on a Forest forum and they're a bit gutted to see him leave. They reckon they'll find it very hard to find a similar standard of keeper to replace him. They also reckon the fee is very small.

    Looks a good signing to me. Like I said, if Brendan wants him who are we to argue? Now one more dictating centre mid a la Thomas Delaney and we are laughing.
