    Celtic have been drawn at home against Motherwell in the last 16 of the league cup, tie to be played at Celtic Park on either August 9th or 10th.

    If we make it to the play off round of the CL we will have a game on the 16/17 August (as well as St Johnstone on the Saturday).

    If we are in the play off round for the Europa League we will be playing on the 18/August.

    Maybe we should play the reserves and not risk any of our best players getting injured? Never understood some of our support being obsessed with the treble. Prioritise Europe.

    Good to get automatically into the last 16. I'm also a fan of the new format, gets the first possible trophy out of the way early and allows an easier run later in the season for the Scottish Cup, League, and Europe depending on how far we progress.

    Though of course I wouldn't want to risk anyone who is not 100%.
    We weren't in the groups...
    Does it matter how other clubs do in regards to tickets, in relation to us having to do the same?
    Not that I expect it to be on the book mind.

    FOLLOWING the weekend’s League Cup (Betfred Cup) draw, Celtic will meet Motherwell at home in the last 16 of the competition next Wednesday, August 10 (KO: 7.45pm).
    The teams last met on the final day of the 2015/16 Premiership season when the Hoops beat the Steelmen 7-0 at Paradise as they toasted their five-in-a-row title success.
    Tickets will go on sale on Tuesday (August 2), priced £15 for adults, £10 for concessions and £5 for under 13s.

    I know mate, it is just that a hamstring going or sprained ankle might mean a player being off for more than a week and I don't feel as though we should risk it for the League Cup.
