There seems to be a lot of mixed opinions on the booing of ambrose against barcelona, simple question - is it acceptable to boo a celtic player for poor performances.

Personally i think its completely uncalled for and is embarrassing.

It depends on why it was a poor performance. If the player couldn't be bothered making an effort & didn't put his all into the game then there's no reason why booing should be out of bounds after people have paid hard earned money to see the team he's involved in.

Go into work and put in a half arsed shift and you bet your bottom dollar your boss won't be clapping you out of the building. I don't see why footballers should be exempt from criticism.

Never, players might make mistakes or not be the standard of players we as fans think they should be but a anyone wearing a Celtic jersey should never be singled out by their own support

I don't think there's any need for it,but I do understand their rage. The truth is that the fans are sick to death of the defensive problems, several inferior players (who don't deserve to wear the jersey) and lack of investment from the board. The fans are going to express their disgust, but yesterday it was directed at one man....which was wrong.

Not unless he gives a fascist salute or something along those lines. In the case of Ambrose. No

For poor performances despite trying his best? No I don't think it's acceptable. Achieves absolutely nothing in my opinion.

Plenty of Celtic fans booed Celtic players last year. Johansen springs to mind.
I don't see why Ambrose should be immune from it, if he merits it.
