This will be a very difficult game. If we can escape with a draw it would be an excellent result.

 

I'd imagine it will be a back 4 with Erik and Lustig in the centre of defence.

That's definitely the most reliable pairing we have available.

I agree. I think this is the most experienced and reliable CB pairing we have until Toure and Simunovic become available.Ambrose will be no where to be seen again, he is done here.

I will be more interested to see if Rodgers plays Allan in midfield, because that would be a bold signal of intent and new direction in the team if it happens, as Allan has the quickness of mind and body, and deft touches to supply Griffiths with quality passes and deliveries, as well as taking better corners than Armstrong.

Astana captain, striker Tanat Nuserbayev (28), looks set to miss the Champions League qualifiers against Celtic after the injury he picked up in the win over Zalgiris in the last round proved worse than initially expected.

Nuserbayev is Astana’s top goal scorer. Despite being 21 games into their league programme, the squad only has two others who have scored more than three goals (one scored four, one scored five), so this will be a major loss for the Kazaks, who are pretty distraught at the news.

 

Try for a nil nil with perhaps a bit of Kris Commons magic from range.

He would be allowed to but Rodgers said it's too soon as he needs to train with the first team and play in the Barca game before he thinks about playing him in a competitive match.

He'll probably train with the Development Squad this week.

I think we only have one wildcard that we can sign before Thursday who can play in the return leg?

 

I like the fact Rodgers isn't throwing Kolo in, Neil threw VVD into a big qualifier and Ronny did the same with Berget
