I don't care what team gets picked for tonight, if the player's that are oot there can't get past this mob they should seriously consider a change in career.

What's the thoughts on this going ahead? I drove past Shawfield there and it was flooded pretty badly. I know Celtic Park is pretty good for this, but if it's to keep raining until 6/7 then I think the pitch will be waterlogged.

The other thing is, if the pitch is a riot it will play into Lincoln's hands. :31:

Dembele seems to be the first choice to play through the middle. Would rather Roberts out wide than Griffiths.

Change to 4-4-2 if that isn't working. Take off Allan and stick Griffiths on.

Thing is, sometimes the pitch can be fine but the bobbies get involved health and safety wise for the fans.

It's scotland. It's raining. What's new? Of course it'll be fine. These we sun worshippers will hate it with the fast pace of the wet ball. Perfect.

    The rain is already off.

    I fancy over 2.5 goals tonight @ * odds of 1/3.

I understand your logic, just don't see him dropping Griffiths.

I agree about Ambrose TBH. He's the weirdest player ever and I imagine Rodgers felt that he was the best option there given the injuries/Mulgrew saga based on what he and his coaches had seen. A mistake? Yes. A sackable one? No, not after less than 2 months to get to know Efe, no.

Apart from Ambrose, you two don't half blow things up out of proportion IMO. I have to repeat: I wasn't the slightest bit shocked that we lost out there and yet I am very confident we will go through tonight.
It doesn't really matter how much you get paid, the players are human and that means they can't just come back from their summer holidays and turn on 100% performance like a switch...no footballer can at any club. Nor can they be expected to assimilate all of BR's new ideas in a few short weeks without a single competitive game.

So actually that game was always going to be tricky: the searing heat that they are used to and we aren't, that horrendous pitch, the fact they already had a couple of competitive games and it was our first of the season, the fact that this was the biggest game in many of their careers, the fact that the players are in transition between Deila's ways and Rodgers'. It was always going to be potentially awkward. If you add to that hitting the post twice, a goal debatably chopped off and Efe having one of his moments, then it really isn't all that shocking. I honestly half suspected it might happen.

Here's the rub: there is absolutely no reason to suspect that we will struggle tonight. I'm not saying it's impossible, of course it isn't, but there's just no reason to expect it and I think you two are being far, far too negative about things.

If we fail to go through tonight, I will obviously come on here and admit I was wrong and apologise to you both.

I still won't call for Rodgers to go though.
