Rodgers never did have a great record in Europe tbh. So I wouldn't be surprised if we went out.

 

I think calling it an embarrassment in public is disrespectful and silly with the second leg still to play.

It's the kind of thing youd hear down there.

 

I'm hoping we have somebody a bit better than Ronny at the helm though.

 

We all know it was embarrasing,including Rodgers,but if he'd came out and said that he would be doing their managers job in motivating them,basically writing their team talk..we've got to be respectful,but realistically....it was a pure riddy.

 

I literally could not care less what the English media think of our manager. I know he's a good one and dickheads like Adrian Durham are not going to persuade me otherwise.

I'm not worried about this game, I think it will be 3 or 4-0 to Celtic but, the the fact that people are worried shows how far this great club has fallen. If an Irish team got beaten by a team from Gibraltar the league would absolute pelters and this is a league that gets no support from the FAI and the majority of Irish people have no interest in it. It's really, really sad to see what Celtic have become.

Of course it's embarrassing. We definitely need to be respectful though.

Imagine the uproar on here if Barca called losing to us an embarrassment. I'd have been raging.

 

It's not really the same though. I don't think he should have said it either. But us losing to the Imps isn't the same as Barca losing to us.

 

Of course we should be respectful, however even if our management team slated their stadium, their facilities, their pitch, their players and then called their manager a fat *. We should still be winning this game comfortably on Wednesday no matter how much motivation it would give them.

It simply should not be possible for this team to put us out over two legs, the gulf should be even more than the gulf between ourselves and Real Madrid (So we should be more likely to beat Real Madrid than Lincoln Red Imps should be to beating us). If we lose this tie then it will be the biggest upset in European knockout history, it simply cannot happen and this is what we are now on the verge on. The players have massive pressure to deal with on Wednesday and they better * handle it.

Prediction.

BR will play the same team in order to prove a point.
It will still be 1:0 by 20 mins to go.

The penny will drop that Scott Brown is actually an utter liability - will be substituted. They will block the goal and we will crash out.

But - BR will sack Brown as team captain. He'll tell the board as much and bring in a high calibre midfield player and a couple of good loan signings. We'll go on a semi-decent run in the Europa League.

Change will come - but at a price.

 

If we crash out next week, there will not be any European football.
