Like i said, we basically need a whole new defense. You can't go in with Ambrose and Sviatchenko is bound to pick up a suspension in Europe, but that's what makes the difference. We shy away after a few rash challenges from them. It's not until Sviatchenko puts in a few meaty challenges they start to realize they're in a game.

So we're all agreed, we need a centre back, maybe two. Broony gets booed, and every time he passes the ball to someone they get brain freeze.

Coming out that game without injuries is maybe a reason we got beat. Hopefully we come back fitter and a bit more determined.

We need someone who can cross a ball and Summer football should be about having someone like Izzy instead of too many players who've never done it in Europe before. Izzy's a guy you'd sit in front of both the left back and the left sided centra back, he'll run all day, and he'll put the boot in if need be.

We've too many players who don't have that mentality, it's not until we can't see luck going for us, that comes out. It needs to come out much earlier.

Too many players wet behind the ears, Scott Brown basically dragging us through the game.

Too much inexperience, and a failure to grasp it's a contact sport and you need players who'll engage in that.

It's been a while since we had wide guys who can put it on the penalty spot from anywhere out wide.

Players who can handle playing Summer football you've also got to factor that in, wee guys in big venues, not used to the heat. Few weeks in the sun doesn't make any difference. But we need to go all out attack now. Which makes it more exciting, for all the wrong reasons, but that's fitba for ye.

    Pitch pitch pitch pitch..

Sick of listening to this *. We play on dumps like that back at home, all through winter. We don't have part timer's playing keepy uppy and sticking it over professionals head's for fun though, then spraying 70 yard diagonals..

    Honestly what a rid neck..

Just got rid of a dud, and within 1 game he's already surpassed any of Ronny's embarrassments. Ronny will secretly be chuckling tonight..

I still 100% back in Brendan, but if he didn't know the dross or magnitude of the task facing him with these shitebags.... He does now..

See in a game like that when it's all about attitude and professionalism, where's our captain? I can excuse his general lack of passing, control and overall footballing ability, but that's on the apparent promise that he drives the team on. Where the * was that?

I'm sick of all this. Didn't expect miracles so early on, but to see a performance that ranks worse than anything even Deila sunk to is just ridiculous. If we can't beat an actual team of part-timers, I just don't know how those players can look at themselves in the mirror.

Bitton for 10m?!?!? For * what exactly? I could run around a pitch on stilts and avoid contributing to the match. I'll take a 10m move to Spain if they're being dished out.

Same mate. Hoping that out of this * of a performance, it might be a blessing in some way for this reason.

After the game during the warmdown fans gave the players a piece of their mind. A backroom member of staff gave the fans a bit of lip back. Firstly rumoured it was O'Driscoll but Paul The Tim just said it wasn't him it was someone who was there under Ronny.

Still a bit shocked tbh. We should still go through (at least I * hope so), but the grief we will get from this will be relentless.

I wasn't expecting anything great today. I thought a pedestrian 3-0 or 3-1 type scoreline just to tide us over as we get to speed. Instead feasted my eyes on the biggest shower in my whole life. It made Ronnys team look like Barcelona.

Can we just give up? Like, just play a different sport or something?

Didn't watch the match but surprised to see it was played on artificial turf. I didn't think that was legal in UEFA. Wouldn't that have a large impact, especially for players used to training on turf? Not wanting to make excuses, but was today's match a fair estimation of where the team is at? Seems like BR's only been working with players less than a month. No time for panic stations.

a forgot this was on and have set it to record at midnight on bt sports europe hd

i guess it be better to not watch this lol

reading through the comments it seems the usual the supposed best players are unreliable when we need them most, lasadaisical in the extreme

browns been struggling for a while i never rated him as a player in central midfield as once you take away his energy and tennacity his actual skills are poor passing tackling shooting e.t.c and hes been looking poor for a good while now

but the others are more worrying bitton doesn't want to work hard and looks disinteresed it seeems to me, like he thinks hes better than us, well theres a reason the big clubs tested you and let you go you are less than a half hearted employee you dont do the good stuff anywhere near enough, you flirt at being a footballer

we seem to be a team with a split personality under strachan and lennon we could play the possession game fairly well and it done well for us, but ronnie was brought in to change that to a faster press from the front 4231 formation and he did it for a while and that was/is the best we have played in the last 2/3 years, then he seemed to lose the dressing room and the team went back to this slow possession game again.

we need to get the players that are fostering this slow boring play out of the side as it is destructive to us moving forward

the slow play works for brown because his passing is poor and this means he isnt under pressure on his passing but im sure bitton could play quicker maybe its the partnering them together that is causing us the problems

i always though brown was more of an attacking player before he came to us and we made him into a central midfielder, i dont think he is a good central midfielder i remember years ago we shoe horned him onto the right midfield and that worked not bad as his aggression and battling qualities worked ok out there

anyway from what i saw against marribor armstrong looked the part in centre midfield time for him to get a shot in there i think, may change the formation to suit our players at the moment aswell maybe play a 4321 instead of a 4231

    4321

gordon, lustig, erik, newguy, tierney, mcgreggor, armstrong, henderson, roberts, rogic, griffiths, dembele, cifti

    4231

gordon, fisher erik, newguy, tierney, armstrong, henderson, roberts, rogic, christie, dembele or cifti, or griffiths

The current squad needs completely revamped, particularly the spine of the team. A lack of coherence, belief and team chemistry.

I'm not suggesting Ronnie Deila is innocent in this; but the quality of players he had to work with is abysmal.
