Just as much as he had to do with every Ronny thread and every other one you polluted his name with..

This isn't interrogation son, I'll reply and post wherever I see fit, ok?

We were beaten by, arguably, the best club side in history. It was an embarrassing defeat but it's well known in England, that Celtic (and all Scottish teams) don't have the financial muscle to compete in Europe. Losing to that Barcelona side isn't really going to affect his reputation much, not that it's relevant anyway. As long as he does well for us then the opinion of him in England, isn't relevant.

I've already said that because of the quality Manager he is, he didn't hang his real feelings in public. Go back to when Suarez got banned when he was at Liverpool, or when Cantona drop kicked the Palace supporter, neither BR nor Fergie came out and castigated either player in public, just as BR didn't castigate his players on Tuesday. That isn't his style, so suggest you get used to it.

As for folks down South, as someone who lives down South, I haven't met anyone, anyone, whose reaction to Tuesday's result was more a reflection on how great Barca were and in particular their front 3, as opposed to how poor we were. Barca are quality side and one that the likes of Spurs & Leicester are happy they don't need to face.

I said before, usually I'll get the wind ups and ridicule for some results, but not for the worst in our history.... Funny that..

It's called realism, even for this mob down here that Barca can do that to anyone ..

Unbelievable that any true Celtic fan gives two * what some no * other teams fans or foreign press has to say about us being beat by probably the current best team on the planet.

How about mentioning the large number of reports that have stated on that kind of form any other team in the world would have been pumped by Barca.

Fact is the top clubs are going to regularly be seen to hammer smaller clubs who simply will never have the finances to assemble teams with transfer values in the hundreds of millions.

Why focus on the word embarrassing instead of seeing the vast improvement we have seen in the side since BR took over? I doubt many other managers in such a short space of time would have us where we are now.

Of course we are still a long way off where we all would like us to be but given our limited finances it's time to be realistic and not be so pessimistic all the * time.

As for BR's reputation down south being sullied as you have stated care to give any actual quotes or proof of that? By proof I don't mean the opinion of some no mark fan, hun or Liverpool hating eejit.

The 7-0 humping was embarrasing yes. Expected? More or less yes. Catastrophic? No.

As stated one of the best sides the world has ever, or will ever likely see, with a hat-trick from a player who in all likelyhood will go down as the greatest ever. Oh and it was at the nou camp.

You could put their starting elevens names in a bowl, pick one out at random and they would cost more than our entire squad put together....thats the gap between us.

So to try portray rodgers in any kind of negative light based on this result considering hes only been here a few months (and smashing it domestically might i add) is * ridiculous.

I think you're bang on with this comment mate....most managers wouldn't go on about such matters in public or tv....as for Barca....what can you do against that team, really.

To be fair Rodgers was pretty poor in Europe with Liverpool too, he definitely needs to improve his tactics in Europe

He got us past tougher opponents than Ronny in the qualifiers, and as said before Barca can do that to any number of sides on their day

Would his tactics in England be so far removed from Europe?

He almost won the league there with a perennial underachiever.

Well living down south his reputation has increased since he came here.
Most people i have spoken to re football think he has done an excellent job so far (Ronny being * has helped of course) and seem to think he will be back here in a year or two. They think he is 'too good'. Even after that tanking.
The tanking isn't his fault it's just the level of Scottish Football is the general consensus.

Everyone can accept Barca gubbing you. Even Premier League teams and fans.

    Now * off.

Remember when Man City humped Man United 6-1 a few seasons back did that make Sir Alex a * manager? No these things happen to the best sides in the world

Maybe we should actually be proud that Barcelona decided that they had to produce their best performance against us. I doubt that any team in Europe would have kept them out on Tuesday. Maybe the result could have been kinder but it's a game we were never going to win. BR is right, it's nothing to be embarrassed about. Our season's success will not be defined by that result.
