Doc, don't for minute believe BR didn't express because he didn't feel what we all felt. He didn't do it because of the quality of Manager he is. He is a modern style/thinking Manager and was good enough to almost win the EPL with Liverpool. It would be a pretty poor Manager who hung his washing out in public. As for Tuesday night, 2 things,

    1. In less than 4 months from signing a contract, he took his team that cost a couple of screw tops compared with the zillions of Barca, to Camp Nou.

    2. When Alaves beat Barca 2-1, their Coach prepared for that game over the previous 10 days. BR didn't have that luxury with International call ups and Gers game.

Yes it was memorable for all the wrong reasons and if there is 1 person who will have learned more than anyone else, it will be BR, which can only be good for us.

Sorry, mate, but this is lunacy. Legia Warsaw, who just two years ago hammered Ronny's team (albeit that we got through on a technicality) just lost 6-0 at home to Borrusia Dortmund. Maribor, the team that beat Ronny's in the playoff that year, lost 6-0 to Chelsea that year. Malmo, the team that beat Ronny's team last year lost 4-0 to Shakhtar Donetsk, 5-0 at home to PSG and 8-0 away to Real Madrid.

    Two things are obvious:

    1) Such is the concentration of the best players that this is the new reality in the CL: the weaker teams (of which we are one at this level) are now taking absolute tankings with some regularity.
    2) I shudder to think of the score last week if that had been Deila's team.

Ronny did a lot of good things, but setting us up for European games wasn't one of them! Brendan is just in the door, how about we give him more than a mere 3 months to build his own team before having a go at him because we shipped the kind of result that is now very common for weaker teams in the CL at literally the hardest place to go in world football in probably the toughest group we have ever had?

I think Brendan substituted the word humbling for embarrassing, it may have been an attempt by him to deflect some of the psychological pressure off him, can't fault him for trying but it was embarrassing, you even said it was embarrassing, go and check the after match comments.

Hands up all those who don't think Brendan's rep down South took a bit of a battering after Tuesday.?

Why are you so bothered about down south? He's managing in Scotland I couldn't care less what some West Brom fans think about our manager and neither should you

Did you not read about that team, think it was a German team who said we and two other teams should now be banned from the Champions League because of that 7-0 tanking ?

It was a German newspaper who said Legia Rostov and ourselves shouldn't even be in the competition the fact you are using that as ammunition just shows you're a complete idiot agreeing with such narrow minded selfish journalism.

Who gives a * what anyone down south thinks about Brendan Rodgers or Celtic? They have no relevance to us whatsoever.

Brendan Rodgers is a respected manager. The best striker in the world loves him, that's good enough for me.

But how can you learn when you don't confront and acknowledge something ?
Even Patrick Roberts is saying it was embarrassing. Why is Brendan in self denial. Is this some kind of vanity trip ?
I don't like people down South talking about us disparagingly and people in Germany talking about us disparagingly.

Were you no calling for McInnes a year ago? You know, a guy who was a laughing stock at Bristol City and a total nobody in England?
