If he stays for 3 years then we will be on 8.

I would hope the lure of reaching 10 and carving his name into our history would be too much.

He goes on and on about being a supporter and I believe him. The 10 will weigh on his mind the closer we get.

I thought Lenny was here for the long haul mind you and that never materialised.

I think being a Tim is one thing, getting the correct backing so as not to * up your CV or sully your name with the Celtic support is another thing entirely.

As long as he is happy I can see him here for a while.

I think as above it depends if he is always allowed the transfer budget he desires.

I think he will be here for the foreseeable future, I mean who will he go to England? He already has had one of the top jobs and I don't see him getting another job up that end of the table again.

He is a Celtic man, he will not being going to a West Brom or a Bournemouth unless he has a serious falling out with the board.

I don't think he's being entirely genuine. Whilst I don't deny he has an affection for the club, I don't believe he's as mad a fan as he is insinuating. I think he's more of a passive "oh yeah, I like to see Celtic do well" type, of which there are literally hundreds of thousands in Ireland.

I think his future will ultimately depend on the budget he receives for taking the club forward.

If the board back him then there's every chance he'll be here for the long haul. If they don't, and he hits a wall, then I can't see him denting his reputation by hanging about.

Yeh hope he'll stay for the 10,i think he will, the opportunity to emulate Stein in home form will be a big factor,we make the group stages every year i can't see why he wouldn't have the funds to better us.Still think theres change left over for a top signing in January.

We've gone through a few managers the last 10 years but I don't think Brendan will be leaving us anytime soon, he's managed Liverpool so unless a Spurs, City or Arsenal come calling he won't leave us for a lower EPL side

    a) He has an affection for the club.

    b) It's a great club to go to to rebuild your reputation. Makes or breaks you and he obviously backs himself.

He is a mad Tim. He never got over here much when he was younger but he doesn't hide that. He was a guy who would have all the strips, listen on the radio and watch the highlights.

He would know all the songs and chants and have favourite players.

His family would have told him stories constantly that would have stayed with him forever.

He is as much a Tim as anyone.

Just listen to him ffs, he * loves us. Unless you think he is a liar...

I've said I don't believe he is being entirely genuine. And I do not deny he is loving being here. He was a casual fan and he's now properly caught the bug - that's my feeling.

When Brendan wins the next 9 league titles and the European Cup, he'll surpass them all :icon_mrgreen:

    What gives you that impression?

Also I doubt there's hundreds of thousands of fans like that either, I know one or two. Majority of people I know are either proper Celtic fans or just not at all.

I feel the same, I definitely believe his uncles and family are 100% mad Tims but I've never been totally convinced by him when he talks about being a life long fan. I don't for one second think he's lying I just think he's playing it up a bit.

I don't think he would be managing us right now unless he were a fan.

Ah here, the amount of people I know that come out with the "oh yeah obviously you want Celtic to do well" craic is shameful. Might be different in Dublin, but it's everywhere in Ireland.

    Our manager is a liar.

    I'm out.

Ive had the worry of him leaving in a year or two after a really succesful stint, but the more i think of it the more i think he will be here a good while. He is a rich man, i would like to think money is of no concern compared to leaving a managerial legacy behind which is very possible at our club.

If he keeps us in the group stages year after and the money is invested back into the squad then i think we can realistically be looking at (dare i say it) a europa league final within 5 years.
