No. We're only just seeing the beginning of a good, solid partnership in central defence..

Any diddies, or no disrespect to O'Connell, inferior player's are now out. That dumpling Janko also has been completely bombed out and is gone. We've also quickly rectified our goalkeeping situation with the flapper being outed..

I expect us to be much more solid in the coming week's..

He's not suffering fools, which is a great sign. If you're not showing it on the park, you're out - which has not always been the case with previous coaches.

I do expect a fair amount of moves in the transfer market between now and this time next year, too.

When he makes a substitution he effects the game. That not only shows astute tactical awareness but also that every player knows his job.

Take the Armstrong sub for example. That is why he is the manager, he spotted a weakness in their formation and made the necessary adjustments.

Once the players buy into that then you are winning because every player knows they have a job, they don't feel overlooked because they trust the manager has made the call because he sees something to exploit.

He has an aura about him not seen since Martin imo. Exciting times.

Yep, he's been absolutely brutal with it, which I love. Either your out completely or you've a lot to do to work yourself back in to contention..

I think we'll absolutely be rid of more duds in January and bring 2 in..

I think by this time next year we'll the the following players leave:

Bailly, Ambrose, Commons, Cifcti & Izaguirre.
Possibly Toure if he doesn't fancy another year, and possibly Bitton if we get a decent bid. We're also likely to lose Roberts when his loan finishes.

There are also a further 6-7 players who will be fighting for their futures. Gordon, Boyata, Simunovic, Armstrong, Mackay-Steven, Henderson, Christie & McGregor - plus Allan and Janko, who are currently out on loan.

I think at the start of most managers tenures they are ruthless, WGS with Thommo and Agathe etc, Lenny bombed out loads after the County result (and Sammy worked his way back in), only one that didn't is Ronny. Rodgers will settle on who he can trust shortly.

Ronny is the only manager we've had in a long time who didn't need to rebuild the team.

Strachan had a remit to cut the wage bill which is why so many of O'Neill's trusted players were frozen out and moved on. Lennon had to knock down Mowbrays house of cards and build from the beginning.

Still far too many listed. At least 10 you've mentioned, will be gone by the summer latest I think..

Toure, i think will absolutely be here for another year. What an excellent additional he's been at the back, and i bet in the dressing room in general..

And you could also argue both those teams became a bit boring after the first season.
Think i'd rather win every game 4-2 than 1-0 to be honest :smiley-laughing002:

And that is why he * it. Too soft.
He should have went and got the players HE wanted and rid of the players who wouldn't or couldn't buy into his philosophy.
He left players in there who thought he was a diddy and it spread like wildfire.

I'm sure O'Neill's team had a clean sheet recrod for a while did they not? When we were playing a back 3 including Vega and Valgaren. Could be wrong though.

Don't know about that mate, his biggest fan was Johansen (And was also the reason Berget was brought in) and we all seen how that ended up. I just think he wasn't a very good manager, regardless of who was playing for him.

Didn't say that. I said they became a bit boring.
Which is what shutting up shop leads to.

Actually may be the following season.
