That's true. He didn't turn it around, per se, but he stopped it getting any worse.

The fact that it was Dermot that brought him to the club and not Liewell suggests to me that he will be here for the long term.
Hope he is here for years and brings as much success as this wonderful club and it's supporters deserve.

As much as a complete baw that I find Lawwell is at times, I * hate our fans using Hun nicknames for people at our club.

For all his faults, he's a Celtic fan who has done a good job for the club for a long, long time.

Love his reaction to this goal, specifically when Dembele plays the ball through to Sinclair. Everyone's on the edge of their seat and Brendan's got his hands up saying "This is * in". I adore this man :52:

:50::50::50: It * me off when Tic fans on here and KDS used Hun nicknames when referring to Tony Mowbray.

Now we have fans talking about the Thumb, thumb boy, Liewell and now occasionally "Brenda".

    Should be * banned.

Genuinely already turning into my favourite manager and I think it's because his style of football is so much more likeable than previous managers'.

Aye his decision to bring on Armstrong was spot on. I was genuinely baffled when I seen he was being brought on, but Rodgers obviously spotted something, and once again it was shown to be the right choice. As you say, the only game where his subs can be questioned was Hapoel away, when he got it badly wrong by bringing on Rogic for Forrest and changing the shape, but he did then make the right call later in the game by bringing on Sviatchenko.

Are people concerned about the amount of goals we're conceding?

No were not conceding a lot tbh I'd be worried if it was 2/3 a game but we have the firepower to outscore anybody domestically

If we continue scoring at the rate we are, then brilliant.

It worries me a wee bit. We barely conceded any chances against Aberdeen, Rangers and Hapoel at home yet we lost 4 goals over the 3 games. It was a pretty big problem for him at Liverpool, too.

It sure was and it cost him big style versus Crystal Palace
clean sheets are key coz were not always going to score 3/4 goals a game

Like you said, as long as we keep scoring 5 domestically then fine. Europe could be a different matter.

    It's * exciting though so * it. :smiley-laughing002:

Not yet, it's very early in Rodgers tenure. Can't expect to get everything right this early.

I was expecting a slow start to the season for us to be honest.

That's it. We won't always be playing well enough to hit 3, 4 or 5 goals. I'm interested to see how we cope with those kind of games.

I'm loving it at the moment, but I do like a bit of pragmatism at the same time. As Seth said, it cost Rodgers a title at Liverpool.

That's true, and I think we've started brilliantly and been fun to watch for the first time in over a year.

I suppose O'Neill struggled for clean sheets at the start of his reign but that gradually came. Lennon's team gradually got better in that regard, too.

Maybe I'm just picking on the only thing we have to complain about :smiley-laughing002:
