The same people were shouting for a cm a while ago though. Not just on deadline day.

I'm very excited about what's to come in the future under Brendan Rodgers.

I'm happy with his words about the transfer window. I think it echoes what a lot of us have been thinking. We did great, although a midfielder would have been even better. He knows what he needs, and he referenced the fact he now has time to assess players ahead of January.

We're back in the Champions League, we're top of the League, we've beaten our two closest rivals from last year and we've got a big opportunity to take a wee bit of revenge on Rangers after the result last year.

Do they think he waited until deadline day to try sign one?

Of course not. That was the last chance they had though.

Considering the dates of CL qualification and the end of the window aren't that far apart, it's understandable that some feel * off that no one was brought in, in a positron where they felt was needing strengthened.

    I'm happy with our squad.

What a great interview, love listening to what he has to say.

For the first time in a LONG while I feel happy and almost safe with Brendan in charge.

It really is a Martin O'Neill-esque feeling wise.

    I * love Brendan Rodgers.

When you lament the lack of a CM (with good reason) remember the best signing we made all summer and it was right at the very beginning.

We are lucky to have him, i hope he sticks around.

Thing is, he could easily have gotten more money elsewhere.

Isn't Rodgers a millionaire outside of football anyway? Does he not have a multimillionaire property business, or something of that ilk? If that's the case then money probably isn't a massive factor for him coming to manage us, one can hope anyway.

    He has indeed.

He's also divorced, or going through a divorce still with his wife of 20 years or something, so dunno how much of a wedge she's getting from that.
