I remembered today that this season started with a loss to Lincoln Red Imps.

I felt as pessimistic as I've ever felt about us that night, thinking Rodgers was done before he started.

Since then things have given as well as they could have. I can't wait to pump the Huns in two weeks.

 

Just read he's been involved in 16 transfer deals since he's been here,6 sold,6 out on loan and 4 in,quite a lot really,hopefully 1 or 2 more in .

 

That many have been moved out, 12?
Who are they all? Doesn't seem that many. Who else we still needing to move on?
At end of last season I was wanting to see at least 13/14 players out and improve on what was left.

It never mentioned in the article who the players were,just said Johanson was the 6th player out,Im sure Mulgrew will be one of them too.

Going by this we have 30 players still considered in the first team

4 goalkeepers -could lose one if not two.
6 centrebacks - Ambrose certainly could be moved on and possibly boyata.
2 right backs
2 left backs
4 centre midfielders (positions debatable) as only bitton, brown, ajer and Henderson. Certainly needs work on it.
2 right wing in Forrest and Roberts
2 attack mids(trying to rejig the positions) in rogic and Christie.

That leaves mcgregor, armstrong, commons.

Up top 3 strikers in griffiths, dembele and ciftci.

Think we can safely out mcgregor in at central midfield and count ajer as development for the time being.

So could get rid of a further 4 to 7 players - baily, Ambrose, commons, armstrong + Gordon, boyata and ciftci.
With the need for a gk(if two leave) cm and a striker all needed if 7 leave.

Think that would bring the squad down to 26?

If 4 move out we need a cm. If we move out two keepers (fasan or gordon as well as baily) and ciftci on top of the four then we need another keeper and another striker on top of the midfielder.

Spoke to an Aberdeen fan on Friday night who reckons Brendan Rodgers knows nothing about football and that he would rather have McInnes than Rodgers as Aberdeen manager.

 

He was winding you up.

 

He really wasn't.

 

Rodgers is happy to try and do anything to win the game. He see's the game as fans (at the games) do as well. Knew that Bitton was ineffective and took him off. Took Griffiths off and Dembele took up the challenge up front. Its great to see a manager who is decisive and will act in the dugout rather than someone who is shiteing himself and doesnt have a clue what is going on.

 

Rodgers has studied positional play for years which gave him the apparatus to become arguably up there and around the best in the industry. Tell him to get an appointment to his local GP to see if he is mentally stable.

 

It's a shame Ajer got injured, he could have been our rock at DM, but it would be risky to go into the champions league with him not tested.

 

Just heard him on Clyde. I'm absolutely convinced we'll get at least 1 more in..

 

Feel confident we'll get a midfielder since we are getting Gamboa in soon.

Gives us a couple of days to work on a midfielder.

 

Get Joe Ledley up on a 4 year deal, let him have his prime years with us.

To think i wanted Moyes and was a little disappointed when Brendan was named, well we dodged a * bullet with moyes, hopefully BR is here for years i love the guy
