Someone needs to go right through him when we play them.

Won't surprise me if Barton intentionally gets sent off before he plays us, so he's banned. He'll soon * himself when Broony gets a hold of him, if he does play.

BIG-HEARTED boss Brendan Rodgers altered his Champions League training plans to let his players take their kids on the SCHOOL RUN.

Celtic face Israeli champions Hapoel Be’er Sheva at Parkhead tonight in the first-leg of their play-off.

The Hoops squad usually stay overnight in a hotel together before big matches.

But Rodgers realised he had players with children starting their first day at school and tinkered with his schedule.

Rodgers said: “Your kid going to school for the very first day, you never get it back EVER in your lifetime.

“So I always make the point of finding out which players are new fathers and who has kids going to school on the first day. I find out the dates and I just put training back a wee bit.

“It gives the players the chance to see their kids on a special day. You know, they are fathers, not just footballers.

“They are people and I’ve always said that.

“No matter what the number is on their back they are human beings.

“I’m giving them the chance to go and walk their son or daughter into school. That’s a special moment for a father.

“That’s why we rejig the preparation, but it doesn’t affect us. It’s just about planning forward, really.

“A lot of managers maybe wouldn’t do it. But family is so important. Psychologically it can be a massive lift for a player.

“Listen, you’d need to ask the players but I always try and put myself in their shoes.

“Ultimately it’s about getting them on the field in the best possible condition I can, and that’s in every way. Psychologically, technically, tactically and mentally.

“Mental fitness is important so if you have that release then great.

“Someone like Leigh Griffiths, a young father, will never, ever get the chance to see his children’s first day at school again. That’s important.

“Okay, we have a big game but we have lots of time to prepare.

“I don’t tend to cocoon the players, I treat them like adults. I trust them, and work the trust.

“Hopefully they take that responsibility as being a mature human being — and they’ll be prepared mentally.”

I don't see the point. If Griffiths misses it this time, he'll have another 13 opportunities.

Difference from Ronny right there: lose two goals, goes for POSITIVE subs, rather than negative subs.

At 3-2 and the entire team on the ropes, he made the changes to steady the ship and finish the tie.

    World class game management.

Unbelievable manager. When you expect us to crumble like we might have done in the past we keep going and show our quality.

Not to mention the exciting football we witness now. I knew he'd be brilliant but his impact has been immediate, we're a transformed team. Still the odd thing that's a bit fragile about our side but get Erik back in defence and De Vries in goals and we should start to look a lot better in that aspect too.

Love the way he sets us up, we conceded twice and he went for the jugular and we scored two more, our best signing this season :50:

You score two, we'll score five. I finally have my Celtic back. Thank you, Brendan. :celt_2:

Thought he should of changed the tactics as soon as they went to a back four, even before their goals.

He must of realised it after though and got the 3 goal cushion back, superb!

    He won that game tonight.

Tactically he is insanely good at times.

Top class management. Realised his mistake probably and went for it. Quality timing of substitutions as well..
