Playing a really * team mind. Promising in the set up up and application in the first 30 mins. Lots of work still to be done though.

I feel the same. During the first half tonight I was looking at him stood on the touchline and was thinking to myself 'I can't believe Brendan Rodgers is our manager!'. It was a cool feeling. I feel so optimistic about this season and the kind of football we are going to be watching.

Won't affect us. They'll be in a three-way battle for second with Hearts and Aberdeen I imagine.

Next season, maybe they might be in a position to challenge.

His Liverpool side in 13/14 was infamous for it. Got 2 vs City in 20 minutes and 4 vs Arsenal in the same period. Believe they took a 2nd minute lead at Stamford bridge too. I think they were at least 3-0 up at half-time vs Everton. Basically against 4 of the other top 5 sides that season they made excellent starts. And Sturridge scored after 3 minutes vs United too.

Love how he wants his teams to get on the front foot and gain the advantage early. I hate when teams make slow starts and look to keep it 0-0 for the first 20 minutes in an overly cautious manner, especially for a club this size, should be looking to crush our opposition from the start.

Quite worrying after BR's experience of working under a transfer committee at Liverpool, he would come here and agree to restrictions on transfers as well, letting Lawwell deal with things must be worse than any committee

Any manager will have to deal with financial reality and the fact that the Scottish league is not attractive. That's just the way it is.

BRENDAN Rodgers has seen the Celtic support in full flow as a fan but he said witnessing a packed Paradise in action from the home dugout for the first time in a competitive setting on Wednesday evening was a remarkable experience.
The home of the champions was packed to see the Hoops cruise past Lincoln Red Imps 3-0 and into the third qualifying of the UEFA Champions League, with the new rail seating section adding a vibrant and vocal element to the already famous Celtic Park atmosphere.
The Celtic manager admitted he was blown away by the performance of the home support and expressed his thanks to the fans who made his first competitive game in charge in Glasgow such a memorable experience.
“It was really special,” he said. “I said when I first came in about getting the stands full and I couldn’t have wanted any more from the supporters.
"I grew up with that, seeing it from the outside looking in so I’m very fortunate to be a supporter who’s now stood on the sideline managing the team.
“To be able to stand in pole position and witness it was really special, so a big thank-you to the crowd because they were brilliant.”

I like how hes always at the edge of the dugout giving orders non stop throughout the game. Means he could be spotting things and warning players.

Some difference to Ronny, Collins and Kennedy who barely said a word. I mind the semi V Sevco was probably the worst going into extra time the Huns were all huddled round their manager where as Ronny was stood still in our dugout whispering to Collins doing nothing as our players just wandered around or walked past him getting drinks and they looked embarassed to say anything to anyone.

There is a reality then there's our CEO a smug arrogant *, who at the end of every transfer window tries to insult our intelligence, who turns any transfer into a saga, Lawwell must be a laughing stock to every other club we attempt to buy from, (wants top money for our players but wants other teams for whatever he says or thinks they are worth) they must say to their secretarys when the phone rings, if its that skin flint chancer tell him i'm no in

Aye it is always good to see a gaffer out on the touchline. Simeone style.

Nice to see the suit back in action as well.

I don't like to bring up Deila as I like him but it's so refreshing to have a manager to come out and play a 3-5-2 like we did yesterday, Deila would never have done that. ( unless he did and i'm forgetting:52:)

RD would set the team up the same regardless of playing barca or a pub team and then just stand on the touchline staring into the abyss when it's clearly not working after 80 mins then make a like for like sub
