    That pic of Lennon:56:

Looks like a * Bond villain.

Anyway, I hope to christ they got a bollocking after that. Hardly a groundbreaking rumour from our very own HoopsManB.

Cannae stand the sun... but that 'shock of Gibraltar' headline is a blinder!

I'd been expecting 'imp-losion!' headlines tbh...

If the tweet is true then who did he tell there time was up?.

Efe , Bitton and maybe Rogic are the only 3 i could see him saying it to.

Thing is, Brendan is a fan. He must have been watching us over the past 9 months,at least the sevco game. Surely he new what to expect when he came here i.e Efe is a bombscare,Bitton is not interested, Brown isn't the same player, Griffiths can't be played wide, Forrest bottles it etc.....I can't believe once he took the job that he didn't have a good idea about who he would want rid off asap and potential incomings.

Not necessarily, he got engaged in February and has two kids. He may have had more pressing priorities and could have wanted a break from football. Even if he only watched the semi-final, there isn't enough you can decipher from just one game to have a valid opinion on a squad.

He has maybe thought he is a better manager than he is, and ronny was worse than he really was, it looks like he has blamed all our failings on ronny and not the players.

You would still have expected him to know enough about the team to know that Ambrose cannot be trusted, and should be nowhere near the starting X1. I just found the decision to play him completely baffling. I genuinely thought he had played his last game when Rodgers was appointed.

He needs to know you need to build a team, it's not a matter of just putting what you feel your best players are on the pitch. We were lopsided, with round pegs in square holes again.

We were playing 433, where Rogic was coning from left centre midfield into the middle behind the striker, Christi was attampting to do the same from the left. Griffiths was playing the position well, in a positional sense but it is not his strong point. Bitton was too deep and Brown was left in the middle on his own. That's what Brendan needs to look at - build a team.

Ambrose was a disaster, Janko absolutely shocking and our decision making was terrible. That's what the players need to look at, Griffiths needs to learn to take his chances in Europe. That one the defender blocked should have been a goal.

It's early in the season, very early. Sometimes you get these lethargic performances but the players cannot afford to do so, that's what the friendlies are for. These are the biggest matches of our season. We need to learn very, very quickly to form a cohesive team.

For the game at Parkhead I'd go:

    Gordon

    Janko Lustig Sviatchenko Tierney

    McGregor Armstrong Brown

    Roberts Griffiths Ciftci

Ciftci is a square peg in a round hole there, he's played that role before though and we don't have many options on that side. I'd say Forrest but against a team that sits in he is worse than useless.

I know he is a fan but I doubt he saw much of us last season at all.

He surely couldn't have otherwise Forrest, Ambrose and co would not be getting game time. He's also dropped on of our best players from last season(Roberts) for some reason.

Also openly admitted to not knowing a lot about Scottish football. I think he's lost touch with how things are up here since being in England and forging a career. Celtic probably hasn't been on his mind as much in recent years and quite rightly so.

I think the likes of Forrest and Ambrose look very good in training when everycunts mucking about and that he's assesing them for himself. Means nothing when it comes to actual games though.

Perhaps. Very dangerous thing to do if so.

I said this before but. If his uncles and family are as Celtic daft as they say then they should be on the phone telling him to punt Ambrose and the likes.

If my uncle or nephew was the celtic manager I'd never be off the phone :smiley-laughing002:

Well at least he'd have Roberts starting :smiley-laughing002:

You know what I mean but. The whole Celtic support near enough can see the guys arent good enough. I honestly can't believe we are sitting in 2016 and Ambrose and Forrest are still being relied upon.

Ambrose started due to injuries, think Rodgers had him down as the only option. I'd rather us play a youth player though, he cannot be relied upon.

I'd have played Ajer in there. I actually thought that's what he was planning on doing due to him playing in pre-season there.

Anyone hear Rodgers on talk sport, supposedly he has said he needs 4 in. His comments in the Herald were probably driven towards the second leg, regarding one or two changes
