Expansion Plans for Parkhead

Not a chance should we expand. Your crowd today of about 50k is pretty much the core Celtic support that will attend games other than a few thousand that probably couldn't get time off work or afford another game so soon after Aberdeen.

Unless we start getting 60k at every home game fans that don't go to any games outside of Europe should be left to fight for tickets. We need a loyalty scheme for fans that can only make a few league games a season not an expanded ground to reward gloryhunters.

 

What do we have do to make the Premiership move happen though? It's not something we can control.

I've never heard anyone at games suggest we expand. It's depressing having empty seats everywhere.

It should be smaller if anything.

We cannie even fill our stadium on a week/week basis.

Focus on entertaining the crowd to fill out the 60,000 capacity, nevermind any needless stadium expansion.

The fact is we generally don't have regular 60,000 crowds and never have throughout history.

There was a 'boom time' if you like during the late 90's to early 00's where we regularly sold out the ground, that was a time of decent TV money and marquee signings.

60,000 is more than enough.

 

Something unique about our main stand i don't really want it even updated... insides etc are in desperate need of some change about it it's a dive

He has a point there is a core of 30 to 40 k who usually turn up all the time and always have done ever since strachans last season early Mowbray ... It's just when we have bigger games demand is definitely sometimes crying out for more

Juventus done this with the stade de alpi for example They built the new stadium in the same spot but a lot smaller. Ac Milan are doing something similar with moving think it may be 50k compared to the San Siro that is always empty and hold 30k more

 

If we could even sell out the current capacity most games I don't think I'd want an expansion. I would personally rather see a packed 60k seater most games than 70-80k with lots of gaps all the time

Our Board has no efforts to demonstrate our size, either through this and the product on the park. Its all about the PLC while they blame everything on the £PL.

 

First thing we could do its make the small stand's corners two tiers. That would add a few thousand and make the stadium look "more complete".
But like everyone else I'd like to see the area in and around the stadium upgraded (what ever happened to the new club shop and musuem they were suppose to build) before working on the capacity.

Some sort of better transport link from central wouldn't go a miss too
