That is what we are capable of every week, but only seem to do it when everything clicks at the same time and there's little pressure on the players. Foundations of a great team have been laid though.

  4. Anybody know the story with CKR?

    Why was he dropped?

  5. Thought Christie's movement was one of the best aspects of today, really clever runs. Missed a * howler but overall he was impressive :50:

  6. John Bhoy79

John Bhoy79 Head in the clouds. Mind in the gutter.

And to think i was worried we'd struggle to score! I wouldn't have had Ambrose, Johansen and Armstrong starting if i was boss but they each played really well to be fair. Overall a really good performance but let's not kid ourselves, big changes need to be made.

  7. Ive spent the whole season calling Armstrong a * artist but he was truly excellent today.

I watched the game with friends and neighbours and we all sat there marvelling at how good we were and utterly confused as to where these * players have been all season.

As Lennon said post match interview, " a glimpse of the future".

    Hopefully.

  8. Not 1 bad performer. ...

    Gordon, had fuckall to do..
Lustig, was superb and never stopped bombing on, nice header as well..
    Ambrose, cool calm and composed..
    Erik, as always first class..
Tierney, what can you say, just keeps improving. That goal with the weak foot. Special boy..

Mcgregor, quite quiet but didn't put a foot wrong..
Johansen, much better, harassment and breaking up play..

Roberts, just a top player, constant problem and lovely finish..
Rogic, my motm, brilliant and that set up for Christie was my pick of the match..
Armstrong, best performance possibly in his career here, certainly this year. What a finish as well..

Christie, brilliant performance, not a striker but did everything a striker should strive to do, bar the first galf finishing. Capped a quality showing with a lovely finish..

Aitchison, that's what it's all about son. Straight in, striker's instinct and calm finish. What a moment..

What a day all round. Hail * Hail!.

    * * 7 nil :smiley-laughing002: Of course I missed it which was a shame. Can't believe the result. Great to see Tierney scoring his first goal and Jack Aitchison being our youngest-ever debutant to score on his debut. Totally amazing just wish I got to watch the match. Roll on next season, see ya there ya Huns :smiley-laughing002:

  16. Absolutely fantastic day, perfect. Delighted for that wee guy that scored. Great farewell for Izzy and Ronny

  17. A 7-0 win, Ronny and Emilio getting a good send off, and a couple of renditions of the Holy Goalie song. Good times. :celt_2:

That was a really good performance today. What today showed me was that there is life without Leigh Griffiths. The movement and link up play around the edge of the box was better today than I can remember it being in any other game this season. I don't think that was unconnected to the absence of Griffiths. Griffiths always wants to go in behind defenders as that's how he gets most of his goals. Christie on the other hand dropped off a lot more and linked the play up with one twos and little passes. This allowed Armstrong and Rogic to go beyond him and get themselves into goalscoring positions, the whole setup just looked more fluid as a result of that. It was really good stuff to watch at times. Ironically if we had played like this more often then Ronny would still be here next season.

Nice to end the season on a high note. :ynwacelti

  18. Thanks Crow ; as per usual :50:

  20. Spot on mate. Don't want to be too harsh on Griffiths because he was POTY and that, but there isn't a doubt in my mind that we play better football without him in the team. People have said there are no goals in this team without him, but the team was basically set up all season FOR him (his running in behind). 7 different scorers on a day where Griffiths was absent, doesn't seem like a coincidence to me.
