We all have varying vocabularies, so like to show off, some are reluctant to admit there wordiness......but are there any words you just struggle to get your head around?

Im not playing dumb here, i know im not stupid, but occasionally i feel it.

e.g. I have lost count of the amount of times i have looked up certain words and still feel uneasy about using them. I mean, im talking looking them up multiple times, and i still seem to forget how to use them.

Off the top of my head here are a couple i struggle with:

    Notwithstanding.

    Pejorative.

I have a few more, but cant think of them at this point in time.

I do it all the time i type words which i know but it doesn't look right on screen, and do you mean the meaning of words or just words you find it hard to use or generally dont look right, see just there generally doesn't look the way its said :smiley-laughing002:

Both, i find myself unsure about certain words...unsure enough to not use them, and also as i said, words that i have looked up 100 times , but still dont really find a way to remember what their meaning is....hence, continually looking them up!

Although i have to say, the internet is fantastic for * like that. ( still dont know what pejorative means though!!!!):smiley-laughing002:

I'm sure there's a Bill Hicks take on that.

Yes, as you can imagine, i am a big Bill Hicks fan.....ironically enough, given the point you are making there.

There is no tone nor anger to the written word.

It's your interpretation of words on a page.

It's your perception of said words and what those words do to you that make writers write.

Word only appeal to your given disposition.

    That's a fact.
