    Possible reason would be
    1. He loves Celtic and didn't realise he would miss us so much. No different to someone emigrating for a better life only to miss home
    2. We have gone backward for 2 years and there is more scope to take us forward.
    3. He believes the board may be more pliant after 2 years without CL, I was football but money is a better word.
    4. He loves Celtic so much much he can't live without us. A bad option becuase then he will be dictated to by the board but still flattering and would show more motivation than any other candidate.

We won the league that season. Would you not like to see a repeat of that season?

Strachan could never achieve above 90 points in the league btw.

The same applies to every manager. No one is coming here on the back of success down south.

People are getting tied up with the fact Lennon was here previously, that means it's a step backwards in a pure chronological sense, not in terms of quality. The truth is, IF Lennon could replicate what he has done here previously, he would be a brilliant appointment.

    * Moyes, if he was a success at United he wouldn't come here.

As someone said earlier, the board holds all the cards here.

If he love us so much and misses us, then if he was to come back it would be under constraints. Otherwise the board would tell him to try elsewhere.

Agree to agree. You obviously think it's because he misses us, I think he's desperate because he has no other viable options in England.

He was up against a stronger huns team, and with that comes more pressure on everyone.

Plus his team was far more impressive in Europe.

He was up against a Hun team that came 3rd and then Paul Le Guen?

His team was far more impressive, except Lenny's holds the record for most points in Champions League for a Scottish team and most goals.

Then why do you want Moyes? If that's a factor against managers being here?

Think what you like but he is a Celtic fan and to say that that can play no part in him wanting to come back is not logical. Perhaps though you think he is more of an EPL fanboy

Lennon won trophies, took us to the CL twice, the last 16 once, beat Barca, first ever away win in the CL group stages, all the while buying young gems a bit rough around the edges and turning them into multi million pound football players. All against a backdrop of verbal abuse, physical assault and people trying to kill him.

You would have to question someones motive for not wanting a man who can deliver all that under that intense pressure.

The season the huns finished third we got 91 points.

Being a success at Manchester United is very different than being a success at Bolton. * sake, that's just a silly comparison and you know it.

Because I'd rather have David Moyes or Brendan Rodgers. It's hardly a ridiculous thing to say.

Look at the poll on this forum, or even KDS.

It's a very small minority that wants Lennon back. So are all our motives questionable.

But Moyes and Rodgers are just names, that's all. There is nothing to suggest they would do a better job than Lenny.

I will say though that if the shortlist was whittled down to those 3 then I would be over the moon with any of them.
