I don't think we've really used the scouting system in Ronny's time here, we mostly signed players Ronny had seen before, rather than actually relying on the scouting team like we did Wanyama or Izzy etc.

Actually this is a good point. Maybe one or two players recommended by the scouts or signed out with his control (Allan comes to mind).

But he has brought us Erik. And Ajer who has massive potential. They will hopefully be our next Forster/Wanyama/van Dijk type players - a class above.

I often wonder about the players Lennon signed in his first couple of seasons - were they purely our scouts recommendations?
I'm not so sure now due to Deilas signing policy.

Don't suppose we'll ever know for sure.

Lennon should host his own morning talk radio show. His manner of talking is just delicious to my ears. His voice, his intonations. I could listen to him all day.

Imagine you're having a * Monday morning, you're driving to work miserable and then you remember "Oh yes, Lenny in the Morning is on!" and you turn to FM 1888 and there he is, bantering away like you're down the pub with an old mate you haven't seen in years.

He could have past and present Celtic players and managers as guests. As for a co-host, I'm struggling to think of the right person. WGS is good crack, and they've worked together before so that might work. Lennon as the lead host, WGS slipping in with his witty lines now and then.

    * * I wish FM 1888 existed. If I win the lottery I'm making it happen.

Deila can do the traffic reports.

Seen a wee bit of it.

Nothing much new, saying the club were downsizing and he didn't get the funds he wanted to upgrade the team and didn't get to hang on to players like Ledley, Hooper and Samaras.

Also said he'd happily come back to Celtic if he could sit down with the directors and iron out certain issues - presumably what may have been a factor for his leaving.

    May well happen:50:

Would be top class to see him come back, see the board fund his team properly and put the zombies in their place for the next few years while giving the CL a good bash every year.

Nah, I have a feeling that Lennon will be nowhere near Celtic Park in the near future.

If he DOES come back, I won't be overly-disappointed though.

No, our scouting department will still be doing it's thing. Still updating it's databases, still looking for young talent working closely with Chris McCart. It's upto the management if they want to use the resources available to them, Lenny had a very good relationship with John Park and very much trusted him, he'd worked with him for a year before taking over as manager. When Lenny's first signings didn't work - Bullard, Sol Campbell, the experience he was wanting, Park stepped in and Lenny trusted him.

    Good working relationship.

Why shouldn't he if its his dream job? The job will effect his personal life infinitely more than any of the other candidates for this he should be shown respect rather than mocked.

I'm not saying he shouldn't, I'd love it if he came back.

The thought of Lenny as our Manager next season, Forrest with a new contract and 1 striker being signed and nothing else gees me the absolute fear.

I really, really, hope it doesn't happen.

In some ways its a step backwards, I agree. But we need a bit of passion that we know he can deliver.

I highly doubt forrest would get a new contract, he doesnt want to be here regardless of whats happening.

Lennon waxes lyrical about him at every opportunity and he's just stated we lack pace. It's a distinct possibility.

I'm sure hes seen Forrests performances this season and the attitude hes shown and knows theres better options out there though.
