Its very true man but the days of us i.e irish nationalists being intimidated and made to sit at the back of the bus so to speak are over. The people who targeted lennon are scum and he is * right to show them that we are here to stay and are proud of our irish heritage and connection to celtic

That's why I included the "in and around" Dev instead of just saying "Inside the stadium".

 

Money. I doubt he has limitless funds and not many job offers that'd get as good a wage as celtic until he hits the epl.

 

Agree with that mate. Just think the snide criticism of a guy who gave so much for the club, and did so well for us an manager under very difficult circumstances, is unjustified.

I remember it got to the stage during his last appointment where I actually wanted him to leave, not because I didn't want him as manager, but because I genuinely felt it was all getting too much - parcel bombs, death threats, attacks while in the dugout etc. He's a brave bloke and we could do with some bravado back at Celtic Park these days.

Can't comment on how it affects him outside of the game as obviously I have no idea. However this is obviously his club. 16 of his 18 medals were collected here.

Celtic brings the best out of Neil Lennon. If Lawell can bring in a manager that will do better then fair enough but over to The Board.

 

That's the thing that really annoys me when Celtic fans have a go at Lenny. Pretty sure no other guy has taken the * he's had to content with as a player or manager for our club. How many of us could have taken that, I know I couldn't .

Edit:Not a manger who statistically will match Lenny's first 2 years as a rookie manager but one who will match the Lenny who has 4 years at Celtic under his belt.

 

Lenny better not let the board decide about things over his head again, if he is announced as manager. Low initial budget is not a great prospect, but we can at least sell lots of players. It's not replacing the big stars that hurt him in his last season here. The team just wasn't working right.

 

Confused I am.

 

If he is coming back, it's worth remembering that he is going to be ready for what's to come. If he could get the energy into the team and get them pumped up to play for Celtic again, we could potentially kick on, especially if he keeps a cool head and not get drawn into the Huns nasty *.

Scouting needs to be at a similar level to his first full season though, something that's gone to * recently.
