So Lenny goes to PL and asks for cash for players, PL tells him tae * off, work with the squad he has and be grateful he's in a job ?

He takes it like a dug because the alternative for him is now League 1 in England tops or no job at all.

And therein lies the problem, his stock is rock bottom and he is the easiest option. He's begging for the job and has his tail tucked firmly between his legs.

This is what I'm concerned about as well.

He left because he wasn't getting what he wanted from them, if he came back Pistol Pete and double D would have his baws in a nutcracker.

We need someone to stand up and make a change and would Lennon do that?

A bit hypocritical to speak about Lenny like that and then have a go a people for demeaning Ronnie.

Dunno, pl will have him by the nads big time and will be easily able to bully and pressure him in to anything.

If not for the sake of the club and fans then for his own career, he shouldnt come back.

Doing what i suggest a lot of young players should do and he should move abroad. Couple years in Scandinavia or france could do him wonders even if it is seen as a drop down

If Deila goes to a cash strapped Championship Club, relegates them then gets sacked and we're talking of his return in 2 years time I guarantee you I'll be saying the same thing.

Who do you think could have kept Bolton up?

If Delia took us to the last 16 of the Champions League then he would not get the abuse he gets. Neil Lennon has done a lot more for Celtic than Ronnie Delia and certainly deserves a lot more respect.

Neil Lennon did not leave us for a cash strapped Championship club unless you believe he was able to tell the future. If that was the case its hard to see why he took that job.

Regardless one mistake in his career should not nullify all he has given to Celtic under circumstances no other manager that I know of has ever had to endure.

How do you feel about Jock Stein leaving us for Leeds?

Edit:Does the fact he relegated Bolton figure in your referring to him as a dog and "hanging around like a bad smell"

Not many peoples favourite candidate it seems, but still a gargantuan step forward on what we have now :smiley-laughing002:

That isn't my question to answer.

Both figures of speech. As I said before no one loves Lenny more than me, it isn't abuse.

I can seperate professional appraisal from personal feeling. He isn't the answer for Celtic just now.

Absolute horseshit, he'll not be back without guarentees that things will be different this time. He's not the easy option whatsoever, he's an admittance from the board that they * up not backing him the first time and we need him or someone like him, who they know won't accept their pish, to be a success because the man they put their faith in was a failure and has set us back years.

Yeah, that'll be why there was an STV article within 3 minutes of Deila announcing his departure noting Lennon's interest.

He'd take the Celtic job just now for anything he was offered, it's as clear as day.

Then you've spent 14 years or so ignoring the type of person Neil Lennon is. It was 'clear as day' whilst he was here he was a board puppet apparently, he left because the board wasn't back him.

There is absolutely no chance he'll be here to let the board walk over him. He left the first time because of that.

Good to see a man who has the experience to lead us have the appetite for the job as well though, that's a good point.

People said the first time he'd be that desperate for the job that he'd do anything to take it on - who exactly what his mentor again? Naecunt. Because Lenny doesn't do * like that, he'll do it on his own terms.

Your figures of speech are less than complimentary. If Moyes is asked tonight would be have any interest in the Celtic job and he answered "absolutely" it would be a bit of a jump to say he was crawling to PL with his tale between his legs looking for a job.

Also I don't think Everton fans will view his presence in the studio as him hanging around like a bad smell after his old job.

Plenty here do not want Lenny back but they are at least respectful for what he has sacrificed for us. In his case above any of our other managers I am comfortable using the word sacrifice.

He is the easy option, don't kid yourself on.

He'd come back in a heartbeat.
