Having watched that video I have revised my opinion. Bring him home, it's meant to be.

People are using the fact he went down South once against him.

He's gone, it didn't work, and it he comes back he'll think twice about ever leaving again unless it's the right job.

Loved Lennon when he was here, wouldnt be against him coming back. Would rather we tried a few others that have been mentioned first

I know what you mean mate, I would welcome him back with open arms. I think there's a tendency for some folk not to be so keen based mainly on the fact that he's a known quantity.

One thing in lennons favour is he knows how to negotiate qualifiers. Won't need a season to understand what there about.

    Rather Lenny than Keane.

People keep bringing up how he "failed" at Bolton, like he finished last in the league with Chelsea or something. Actually he took over at one of the hardest jobs in Championship, he took over club in complete financial turmoil, with poor squad. He had to sign guys like Heskey because he had no money at all. His side always fought tooth and nail, despite them being really * and with no resources. As soon as he left, everybody were hammering them 4:0. It's his fault that he took that job, I'm sure he regrets that decision now, but he took a risk which failed.

I'm not sure about him coming back, given his reasons why he left Celtic at first place, but I'd always take him over guys like Keane, Mackay, Coyle, etc.

Where the other reasons the board, the financial constraints, the "shelf life " of a Celtic manager ??

If any of the above where the true reason he left , why would he want to come back now even though none of those factors have changed .

The only thing that has changed is that the huns are back and scottish football will have that competitive edge again. Now he wants back in .

We will never move forward by looking back.

    Thanks, but no thanks.

Got sacked and needs a job, and now wants back :87:.
Lenny was a cheap option in the very beginning and would be again.
Whats he gonna say? "Err Peter, you know how i left because i felt i couldnt go any further with the restrictions you were putting on me, well, forget all that, I'll take the job now".
Not for me thanks. At least if we get a different, high profile manager, they might give him some money.

Rodgers would be my #1 choice if possible.

However I've never seen the Celtic support as united as they were under Lennon's tenure. I don't understand the antipathy some are showing at the suggestion of Lennon returning. Took over a floundering team and had us beating Barcelona within 2 years.

Wanted a new challenge and then regretted leaving as he found out the grass wasn't greener.

I think the phrase " no one man is bigger than the club " is very appropriate here. We all love Lenny but let's put Celtic and the football first. We need to move forward properly.
