Lennon is a decent tactician and can be an excellent motivator . He would galvanize this current side and ensure the genuine deadwood are rightly moved on . He has seen it from the outside looking in ( as we all have ) which would serve him well in tackling the immediate problems in the squad .

He would offer the smoothest transition. He already knows some of the players and their abilities.

Lenny would certainly be the safe option. Would resurrect the career of certain players here like Commons and Stokes. Also with the CL qualifier coming in quick and fast early on the summer, it would be the smoothest, least eventful as Lenny will probably need no time to settle. Already know the club, most of the players and can keep most of the staff too.

However my concern is with the board. If we appoint Lenny, how much money will the board give him. Doubt it would be any more than he got before in his previous spell. We need to spend money if we want to improve and make an impression again in the CL. We are not gonna get that with Lennon in charge. Lawwell will continue to make second rate cheap signings for Lenny and it would be no different as to Ronny.

Meanwhile if we signed a more experienced manager like Moyes or Rodgers, they would insist on a budget and full control of signings. They will have thier own players in mind and will mean bigger changes in the summer.

No disrespect to Lenny, but if he re-signs he will steady the ship, but will we really progress with him in charge?

Who says Lenny would not demand full control of signings, after having burnt his hand on the stingy stove that is Peter Lawwell? If he ain't stupid, he'll have that as a condition of taking the helm.

    The ideal choice, for me.

Lenny would come back here as damaged goods after his Bolton escapade. His reputation was at an all time high when he left us and yet he ended up at Bolton ffs. I can't see anyone above league 1/2 taking a risk on him down there which is some come down from going toe to toe with Europe's finest. I think he would just be happy to have a job never mind making demands.

If he did then I'm sure he would do fine but for all the good nights he gave us I still thought we played some * football under him and our record in the cups left much to be desired. Honestly not sure how I would feel if he came back, I loved him when he was here but it's an underwhelming thought at the minute. I don't think he would have the same passion for it. Maybe I'm wrong.

I think he'd have a greater reputation than ˝damaged goods˝. He'd be in a position where he is tasked to fix a mess, just like he did after Mowbray. He has a good shot at successfully fixing us.

For this job maybe you're right. I can't see him being seen as anything else other than that down south though. I would love him to come back with the same passion and desire as before but I just can't see it & I don't think he would really fancy it all that much. It would feel like a marriage of convenience. Like I say I would be happy to be wrong.

In terms of his bargaining power then I feel it is. As I said he might feel lucky to be getting another chance at us. That was my original point..

I would love Lennon back, its a no brainer if he wants it. Moyes I think we might have half a chance with but guys like laudrup, rodgers, bielsa i believe is pie in the sky. The guts of Lennons team remains and he would be a pretty smooth transition i believe. He is Celtic through and through and he was hurting on Sunday you could tell.

I don't think that's Lenny's character at all. It's odd that I've seen on here Lenny's passion for Celtic questioned and seen him accused of doing a runner when the going got tough at Celtic.

It's like people completely dismiss everything we know about him.

As some have said, Lenny would offer the smoothest transition.

    But would it be progress?

He's undoubtedly a better manager than Ronny and one of my favourite people on this planet, but I'd personally like a fresh approach for the team.

Will Lennon want the madness it will only be progress if he is given the help and money he needs otherwise it will be the same as when rangers went down.

Once again we have missed our chance to cement our place by not wualifying for champions league and have allowed rangers back in

If Lennon were to come back and work under the same restrictions which saw him leave in the first place, then I think that would call his character into question. Any bargaining power with the board completely goes out the window as well if that happens in my opinion.

Lenny does not want to come back to the crap that is the old firm, maybe in years from now he will want a return but just now would be a mistake for all.

What you know of his character, not his character in the hypothetical situation he does this, do you think he would? I don't.

100% no from me. For reasons I don't even have enough time to type.

I don't think it would be the right move, for Lenny or for us.
