That's the start of the standing section. I was sat in 110 for years and didn't realise till these pictures came out that it was becoming standing as well.

Think 209/109 is the first section in the standing, with the barrier to the right splitting the executives.

edit: just looked at the plan for safe standing

Seems that half of 109 is meant to be standing and none of 209. but so far they have ripped all the seats out of both bar what you say looks like a small 1 row of seats in 209. weird.

Was all a bit vague mate. We are in 209 and it was unclear if it was going to be standing or not. Realise it is very difficult to organise 50k season ticket holders but people around us in 209 that maybe wanted to move seem to have been handled a bit shabbily. Not much contact from the club, and some offhand comments re relocation. After a mix up we are now in 209 NN whereas we were in 209 QQ last season.

Why do they feel the need to call it 'safe' standing?

Is their an 'unsafe' standing section somewhere else?

'unsafe' standind is pretty much what we used to have - just concrete block steps. Safe standing now is with the support rails - that you are meant to hold on to at times and also an allocation to a 'seat'. Again opposed to previous days when it was buy a ticket and just pile in.

    Organised Standing, if you will.

Aye just looked again there must be atleast another 100 corporate seats in 209
So if wee kept our seats on 2 year ago would have had to move

I unfortunately just missed out on it. First season ticket was at Hampden that year. But yeah I'm assuming the 'safe' is to do with the new regulations with the rails, seat and allocation to a specific 'seat'.

Ahh the Hampden year .. strange old season .. still not quite sure to this day if it was wonderful or dreadful.

I rememeber my seat position in the north stand meant I was on the telly every game.

Halloween horror show against the beasties, Lambert falling over the advertising boards, Craig Moore's hilarious OG, Raith * Rovers and of course big Pierre making us all greet with joy.

Buckfast fuelled 16 year old me sure enjoyed that cup final. :50:

Will they be locked at league games? Or can fans sit if ever they want to?

I didn't say that though. What if there is an old boy there who wants a wee seat at half time? Not unreasonable. But aye that doesn't really answer my question
